No no no no no!
Being an old-school traditionalist who still struggles to accept the squad numbering system, a left-back wearing the right-back's number brings out a form of OCD in me.
I'm still getting used to Williams wearing 3 and CHO wearing 7, sometimes when I see 7 pop up down the left I think it's Neco... and yes I know they look nothing like but you see the number first a lot of the time

I think we’ve recalled the young GK from Chester too, although only read that from there side not via our OS
Confirmed on Facebook that George Murray-Jones comes back after 23 appearances.. I'm expecting him to go back out on loan elsewhere in the Conference.

You can also remove U18 Isaac Davies, who has moved to Cardiff on a permanent deal.

Likewise, but oh God don’t ever watch Brasilian football, where the back four are traditionally numbered 2-3-5-6 (going from right back to left back) hence why Roberto Carlos always wore the number 6 shirt for the Seleçao.

Same. I was a right footed left back and number 2 looks wrong on the LB. Even with today's daft numbering.
I do remember in one of my teams, I had the last pick of the numbers for some reason - I think I'd missed the first training session due to a persistent nose-bleed issue - for some reason our Back-up keeper had taken the number 2 shirt, and the only shirt that wasn't taken was no. 5 - so that's how I ended up playing a whole season at Right-back wearing 5. :ROFLMAO:

Can't Play Left-Back
Didn't Jim Brennan wear 2 when we first signed him as Alan Rogers had 3? Then he was bumped up to 3 when we sold Rogers. As bad a left back wearing 2 is, at least it's not Hillal Soudani!

We had extended his loan on Jan 17, according to the official site. Recalled him yesterday, according to the Chester FC site.

You guys are fretting too much about numbering - I've given up for a long time now. I mean, one of my fav-ever goalkeepers at Olympiacos was wearing no71 (his birth year). If it makes sense to the players, just embrace the randomness. :ROFLMAO:

I notice that a lot of clubs try to sort out the numbering in the traditional manner at the start of the season for their first teamers. But changes during the season soon lead to a complete muck up. But it's fun trying to work out which first teamers have survived to that point.

I always go back to when Cloughie made the genius decision for John Robertson and Ian Bowyer to swap roles in the team midway through the '75-76 season Richard. Moving Bomber from left-wing to central-midfield and vacating the no.11 shirt to Robbo, who duly handed the no.6 shirt to Bomber, resulting in all being well with the world.

Nothing irritated me more than when we signed the centre-forward Soudani and allowed him to wear his preferred no.2 shirt. Thankfully, his stay was a brief one if only for that reason.

Part of me wonders if it was a player requested return...
