worst case we lose Earnie and sign foook all .....
I don't mind losing Earnie as long as we bring in a LB and CB.
dream day would be keep Earnie add a LB and CB and to top it off maybe a left winger but we can all dream just thinking back to Jan waiting up till midnight only to be let down,at least this time its all over before the suns sets.....

Personally id like to see Gareth Bale come in on loan! I really cant see earnie leaving the club! I heard an interview with him at the start of the season and he basically said he love's the club and wants to carry on playing for the club he loves!

Gareth Williams kissed his badge before moving to Lesta.

Its difficult to sign quality defenders without them beleiving that you will be in the Premier League next season. This seems to be the situation.

Therefore its better to find some quality defenders who will not move down on a permanent basis at the moment, and then take them on loan, with a view to signing next season.

They get first team football, but retain their SPL or EPL status with the other club. If things work out good this season they might consider joining next, if not then they go back to their EPL/SPL club.

While I agree with the sentiments that it is unlikelky that we'll sign any players on permanent contracts today, I would not be surprised to see a loan sigining or two.

If we want to loan for the season or until January window, we need to register them today. If we wait for the emergency window, we can only sign for 91 days.

It has been a fantastic summer on the incomings front, but with our backline as vulnerable as it appears to be there is bound to be some griping if we don't (appear to) do something about it.

I suspect it will be loan signings myself and that they will be in place for the next game, which is fine.
