2 Defenders.

And I'll tell you something else. If Chambers had been playing tonight we'd have done a lot better. This backs up my first post.

But everyone knew we needed defenders by the middle of last season and the holes are still there six months on.

There is no 'Get out of Jail free card' on this one.

You're right, but Billy knows, ND knows, we all know. You can't force players here (although kidnappings a thought)

I'm not offering one, but do you agree, 2 defenders should sort it?

They would have sorted it prior to the start of the season and we wouldn't be sat here blaming our losses on a shortage of defenders.

If we miss out on the playoffs (or are relegated) by three points at the end of the season our lacking of pre-season planning will be to blame.

Is that acceptable to you?

I have compiled a list of defenders which we need :

Kit Symons

Rufus Brevett

Taribo West

Lee Dixon

Ramon Vega

MaxiRobriguez

Bob McKinlay
Tonight just goes to show what a bloody mistake it was faffing around with 'extra payments' rather than paying the £2m upfront for Matt Mills.

I don't think we would. Backing off too much was our problem tonight, Chambers is a terrible culprit for this too.

With Chambers in the side most people who play alongside him tend to have an idea of how to compensate for his weaknesses. So maybe less backing off from the others with him around.

But hey - maybe if we signed a couple more defenders...

Davenport will do nicely. Then a left back

Chambers may or may not have helped to minimise the humiliation yet had he been playing it would have freed up Cohen into the midfield which again, may or may not have had more of a positive effect.

In other words, we'll never know, but having Luke back for QPR gives us choices.
