Thanks.

Really needed reminding of that.

So that's today that can only improve as it goes along.

Thanks for that, I have a day off and that has really made it a great start to the day.

I'm off to hide all the sharp implements and rope in my house.

Certainly up there in the file of 'Seemed like a good idea at the time.'

He'd spent a year researching coaching methods at Barcelona, amongst other places.

He'd also spent some of that time relegating Sampdoria, and trying to prevent that happening by introducing Lee Sharpe to that club.

Put all that together and you somehow get a load of crappy old Italians bought in at great expense, and a load of coaching methods designed for top quality players which weren't much use to the likes of Andy Johnson.

I'd prefer to commemorate the day he left the club. :bounce:

Platt had some good players and a few good ideas. BUT the image of him standing unemotionally on the touchline, one hand on the side of his face and the other supporting his elbow will never go away. What we will all remember him for of course is that he played s--t or bust with our finances - something which has kept us in the mire for so long. However ........... now I can see light at the end of the tunnel. We're nearly ready to depose those minnows of the Prem such as Wigan, Hull, Stoke, Brum (!), Wolves (!), Fulham and Manchester (f--king) United!!!!!!

I had a heart stopping momemnt in the gym this morning - looked up at a TV showing Sky Sports News and saw "Platt appointed manager of Forest" - nearly fell off the cross trainer!! Then noticed the Pinnacle shirt being held up, and the 'on this day in 1999' caption.

Phew!!

It did seem like a good idea at the time...but as soon as he asked for the cheque book they should have smelled a rat.

Looking back Forest were just a stepping stone in his own warped mind of self importance and I can't believe that Forest would allow themselves to have been prostituted.

When Frank Clark was in charge he was desperately let down by the board by allowing certain players to leave. Frank was the closest thing we ever had to Brian Clough and our own `boot room`.

Frank should never have left to go to Man City - but he had no choice.

Frank Clark - TOP MAN IN MY BOOK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

David Platt - Great player, no doubt about it. But as a manager absolute rubbish.

Ten years later and we're still repairing Forest Road
