look on the bright side, players now have international break to get some rest, we also have an added boost of earnshaw after the break

It's all about what happens from now on.
 
Half full, but some beer still slops out over my fingers. I tend to agree that some of these clubs we have only drawn with should have been despatched with their tails between their legs. Donny caused us some problems because we were careless, not because they were sparklingly good. To go up, we need to beat the Donnys, Blunts, Weeds etc. Pity Chambo missed that header!
 
We need Earnshaw back ASAP, Although the Blackstock up top and McGugan just playing behind him tactic has worked in the past couple of games, but when it dosen't work we don't look like scoring

Sheff Utd for instance, we we're getting dominated in midfield (1st half) and McGugan had to keep dropping to get the ball which meant when Blackstock recieved the ball he had 4 defenders on him and they kept shutting us out.

Great desire from McKenna 2nd half who drived us on for a point IMO

Now who said we are serious about promotion ? Doughty & his lackies have certainly shown in the summer that they are certainly not serious about it at all.

Care to expand on that ?.

Do you have some knowledge that they sat on their backsides twiddling their thumbs whilst the transfer window was open. Maybe they did not wish to pay over inflated prices, maybe the clubs who had the players we were supposed to have been keen on signing were not willing to let them go...

Maybe the players we were after used Forest's interest to boost their own terms at the present clubs.

Maybe Nigel Doughty has talked to Sir Alan Sugar about his time at Spurs, reads the boards and thinks Alan Sugar was right, why bother, the ungrateful bastards.

What on Earth do Spurs fans have to be grateful to Sugar for? Being mediocre for pretty much all of his time there?

An early warning for all clubs who have since found themselves upto the neck and beyond in debt.

He cured Tottenhams immediate financial plight and tried to inject into the club some form of business plan. The measures he used though were too much for the fan base and the lovable cockanee rogueish Terry Venables, who wished to remove him of much of his money for team building.

After parting with Venables, he decided that he was not going to carry on funding over paid prima donna's......In one infamous article I think he refered to many of the players as ''Scum'' or similar. Facing a barrage of ill feeling, he sold up and walked away. Who can blame him.

Speaking of the 1-1-1-1 etc sequence, it's a pretty decent record if it was in binary!
 
Nah. You'd get stack overflow or floating point errors after a while....
 
Sedgred has a point. I've given this a bit of thought since I heard a Liverpoo fan on the 5 live phone in today. His message was that Liverpoo would come good soon, especially when the club was sold and new (big) money was injected in. Fantasy. Doesn't the bloke think that their debt (somewhere over £300 million, I believe) is high enough? Why on earth would someone buy up the debt from the owners and THEN pump unlimited millions in? So ..... I don't want us to open the purse to our manager - maybe one good signing would have helped (if he was available and wanted to come). I happen to think that we have a good squad and that promotion is possible if the manager gets the tactics right. Losing just one of our games so far is a promising platform. Same points as last season but surely Billy has learnt something from that awful away run we had second half of last season?

I'll take a season of 1-1 draws away from home. As long as we can start converting some of the ones we're getting at home into wins...

That'd mean we beat Direby at home, draw at theirs, get into the play offs, go through to Wembley on our home win ... Then what? I suppose Wembley is away, so we'd draw 1-1 and go to penos.

Ahhh ... I can dream.
