There is a good debate going on on vital as to which players from our Current crop and which playersfromthe playoff season are better and who would you rather have

Gk Ward or Camp
LB Brennan or Lynch
CB Dawson or Mills
CB Walker or Morgan
RB Louis jean or Gunter
LM Reid or Cohen
CM Scimeca or Mckenna
CM Williams or Mcgugan
RM HUckerby v Anderson
ST Johnson v Earnshaw
ST HArewood v Blackstock

Mine would be
Gk very close possibly to hard to say probably nicked by Camp
LB Brennan without a doubt
CB Dawson proved himself invaluable Mills has still got to prove himself
CB Walker need some experience
RB Gunter just nicks it
LM have to say Reid was immense that season
CM Scimeca we missed him more than anyone else when he left
CM Mcgugan seems to have more about his game than Williams
Rm Tough decision 2 players who are nothing alike, but Huckerby does have the pedigree
ST Johnson
ST Harewood, the partnership these had has not been matched by many strikers in the championship so even though earnie is possibly the better striker if you choose one then you have to choose both.

It's Baggio

John Robertson
Camp

Gunter - Dawson - Walker - Brennan

Prutton - Scimeca - Cohen

Reid

Earnshaw - Harewood

adam09

Bob McKinlay
Gk Smith
LB Bennett
CB Dawson
CB Morgan
RB Louis Jean

CM Scimeca
CM Cohen
RM McCleary
ST Tyson
ST Harewood

I cant see how Camp is better than Ward.

Is everybody forgetting how good Darren Ward was?

Also the team from 02-03 was the best we have had in years, and we had one of the best managers in england with Paul Hart too.

Cant help thinking that If Hart recieved the funding BD has had this summer, we would have gone up and remained up.

fantastic young players playing awesome football

ahhh good times

1989 - 2 cups, a FA cup Semi Final and finished third = best team ever

Chapman, Nigel, Webb, Gaynor, Parker, Des, Psycho, Sutton, Carr - I would sleep with them all

Agree with you there. Add in Harry Hodge, Laws and Crosby too.

Paul Hart's 2002 side were streets ahead of the new class, depressingly so.

Seven of the side would waltz into our eleven as it now stands, and that's without including Jenas.

I have to agree, If we had actually shelled out £1million for Huckerby we would have got promoted that 02/03 season.

Some way behind the 02/03 side of course but this current team has the potential to grow into much more and this time we won't be obliged to sell our top players unlike back then.

If he were that good he would've been more effective in the playoff semis, he wasn't worth the wages he was demanding. Whilst he did well at Norwich in a decent team subsequently, they never got promoted did they?
