I've heard that their 2nd parachute payment has been used up servicing their debt. If they don't do some major cost cutting or get promoted they might struggle next year when there is no parachute payment.

all gone already, is what i was told aswell, it's why they put commons for £5mil they think he'll get them promotion :fool: or sell him and hope the money keeps the bailiffs away. however there is rumours of investors coming in, i hope there not true though, relegation for derby next year?

Anything is possible under an oaf like Clough.

They apparently want to sign Jake Buxton.

It's true. Their debt will be down to £15m apparently, using the parachute payments to reduce the debt and pay-off some of the shite they've signed.

Why exactly do clubs need parachute payments anyway?

Oh, I've noticed you've achieved f*** all, here's eleven million quid!

I completely agree. They get money being in the CCC anyway, don't see why you should get extra for being relegated

I've often thought that, it creats an unfair playing field. If we were receiving them I would think it's an excellent idea though.

It's so that clubs don't go bankrupt with the sudden drop in revenue, and if they happen to have some player on stupid money or something.

I just read this on Teletext. If i had known that earlier i would have been cheering on the brum ... but 400k would be very nice and at least enough for 1 player for billy to buy with.

Nice little bonus for us :)

I know that but it doesn't make it right. They should be forced to sell the player(s) if they can't afford them. It's up to clubs to plan for the future. Parachute payments make it harder to compete for promotion and you will end up with the same 6-7 teams yo-yoing.

Every other team gets it as well though, so it doesn't give us an advantage over signing players, that's all down to selling the club to them!

We are really pretty good at enticing players to the CG. I'd go for Ando! Bargain at £400,000

But it still gives Billy Extra money in his kitty which is the bonus bit. He's proberly been in his office, working out transfers etc and now he can put that extra money in his budget and help his plans

Yes, they'll haver ten points off a club for doing something behind the scenes which has little actual beairng on how the first eleven do on a saturday, but fill that first eleven with flash bastards you can't afford and they give you thirty million quid to help you out of it all goes tits up. f***ing disgrace. Of course if we go up, then down, I'll have the money. We'd be disadvantaged otherwise, of course ;)

The Swansea vital football site I think. Methinks its is a pile of poo, he will fetch a minimum of 1 million and probably more.
