£1mil for Perch?

Notts supporting security guard at work just said he'd seen in the paper that Paul Hart is offering £1,000,000 for Perch!?!?!? Is he talking wet?

also in the paper,
we'll all die of swine flu
£1 mill for perch is daft money, i'd snap his hands-off if it was true, but it isn't

Although I would take that in an instant, I don't think he is even good enough.

IMHO...he's one of the best tacklers outside of the Premiership...but he doesn't really have much else to his game. I guess the question is, how highly is the skill of tackling valued these days?

How long before somebody says "for that money I would drive him to Portsmouth myself"?

I think the Notts fan is pulling your leg. I think if it was in the paper it would have been in the BBC gossip section. Especially as it concerns a Premiership team.

Probs see's him as worth it given paying that means he can have a player on the bench that can play so many positions...meaning he will feel like he has 9 subs instead of 5...

Don't Premiership teams get 7 subs next season? That'll be his whole first 11 covered in that case! lol

Deal.

He's under-appreciated at times, there's no doubt about it, but he isn't worth a million and we could do better.

I don't think anyone from outside the club will match our valuation of him for a long time yet.

He's a quality player to have around the club. If we were going to sell him I think we'd want £1m but I doubt anyone would be willing to offer that, definately not a premiership club anyway.

He's all heart and will do whatever he is asked for the club. Why would we want to let him go.

James Perch was the first of players we thought were rubbish but turned out to be world class.

Joel Lynch is the second James Perch, Aaron Davies will be the third.

Is your point that James Perch wasn't playing on sunday, and so nobody tackled? Or were you forgetting that Perch wasn't playing, trying to slag him off, and falling miserably on your arse?

He continues to improve, and I don't think Billy would sell for £1m tbh, he has a lot of time to run on his contract (I believe) and is one of the most commited and professional players at the club who Billy sees as one of the 'glamour boys......'.

Perchy won't leave (well at least I hope), he is regarded very highly by BD and also by our previous managers. In 2 years time and with maturity, Perch will be an outstanding player who will ply his trade in the Premiership with or without Nottingham Forest. We could sell him in 2 years time for + of 3 Million.

That's because he's world class. :)

No wonder my post count..
I hope he teams up with Peter Crouch someday to make some sort of comedy duo - Perch and Crouch!

He is a very good player and it's good to have him in the 16. But someone must be pulling your leg, £1mill for Perchy?????? ;D

I agree he's worth at least 35 times that. He's world class you know.

Just needs to establish a position for himself.

He isn't good enough to start in central midfield for me, Moussi can fuflill the same role and adds more. If Gunter signs then Perch can forget about first choice Right Back. Whilst he may be able to cope at Centre Back in League 1 and 2 he isn't good enough at this level.

He really has two options, either be content with a back up role next season at Forest or find a new club. He will never fulfill his potential here I believe, he needs to drop a league and find himself a solid position.

Just checked this out with Paul and he says that £1 mill is a misprint. £11mill is the figure.
