Is the Haiku thread still on here?

Not that the LTLF Haiku police wouldn't have torn you to pieces if you'd have posted it there, of course. It's incorrect, doesn't follow the 5-7-5 rule. You'd have been torn to pieces, stuffed into a packet with a pair of worn panties and sold from a vending machine to a Japanese pervert.

I agree that he wasn't in a team playing to his strengths, but you put him in today in place of Danilo or Dominguez and we are not as good.

They will have far harder games than they had today but I'm not sure what Freuler would add to the mix.

Maybe, maybe not.

I actually think he'd do as good a job as either

Felt like a result and performance that’s been coming. Thought the boys were terrific today and the Nuno blueprint continues to take shape

Agreed with the decisions to drop Moussa and Yates. Pleased to see Felipe fit to start.

CHO, Elanga and Big T all in scoring form with MGW pulling strings bodes really well for the rest of the season if we can keep them all fit

Sels still be seriously tested (which says a lot about our defending in general play) but does seem to have instilled a sense of calm when playing out from the back at least

Nico and Neco my pick of a very good bunch today. Dominguez needs a song of appreciation - he’s a bloody machine that lad!!

Only negativity the men in black. Again. Ridiculous non-penalty award aside, this nonsense stopping the game every 5 mins for alleged head injuries has become another farce the powers have created that nobody asked for. Fair enough if two centre backs bang noggins at full pelt that might warrant a check up and Terry Butcher bandage but for feck sake, players risking brain damage after a stray little finger catches them in the face?! Do me a favour. I think the bloke behind me in the Trent End summed it up perfectly; “Get up you Wet Wipe!”

Onwards and upwards you redduns!

I just finished watching after reffing all morning. Great result, but I didn't think our performance was all that good. We were, by and large, poor in the first half. Still prone to stupid errors (Felipe losing the ball at center comes to mind). I liked how Domiguez and Damilo performed in the center of the park. Murillo continues to be excellent. CHO was excellent. Taiwo was pretty good and added yet another goal. Elanga a bit unlucky not to score. MGW was ok---he's a bright spark but he's a bit foolish at times. Tavares is a raw stallion---if Nuno can get him to think better he'll be a genuine asset. The foul on Neco was a clear PK and how VAR can get that wrong is complete joke. I thought the ref was quite poor in a fairly easy game to officiate. Not good on fouls above the knee unless they are obvious. We remain a much better coached side. Since Nuno took over our organization is much better..

One thing that I've not seen mentioned yet is the fact that we were much more physical today. Nice to see us dishing it out and bashing a few people up. We're going to need that as well as the improvement in play we're seeing. I'm glad we've added that to our game
We scrapped well. We wanted it more than they did. It was great to see.

Played quite well too!!

Very good today, really enjoyed it.
Now let's kick on and start climbing this league. How they are 8th is beyond me but obviously they've found a way to get points, something we need to do.
A lazy Saturday night, drained, happy and wasting time studying the table and fixtures.
Same here. Did a quick tally. Gave us an estimated 37 points. Minus 6 if what must be etc...and we'll still be larfing according to my reckoning.

Also good to hear their opinion on the decision to not give a penalty... oh wait!

I suppose they had already spunked all their jizz over Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City so we got a lizard's lick

I still don't feel like Yates was actually involved in that - hand on the keeper had no impact and he wasn't in the way of the shot
