Felt like progress in the 2nd half, honestly they have no way of coping with Awoniyi do they, full on shit their pants whenever he went near. Absolutely tore them a new one defending a corner!

Heart, some skill and attacking play. I thought it was interesting in the first half Turner was gathering the ball and looking for the quick release and no one was showing for him, in the second half more options were on.

Last season we were the ones whistling for the final whistle, today it was £500m Arsenal!

Today was a huge positive in my book.
However we have to go again next week. A couple of loan signings can transform the squad. Spence and Henderson would be great. Than buy one more cb and striker

No-one was calling for him to be sacked, just that if that performance carried on he would be sacked (whether we like it or not).

Unless Cooper's plan was to let them have two goals knowing they'd then switch off .
What performance? The first half??

Second half we came out looking like we believed we had a right to be on the same pitch as Arsenal.
And regarding the SC situation: until we convert that sort of effort into gaining points away from home, EM may still have questions.
Is it too early in the season to say that Friday night is a MUST WIN game?
Yes, too early for must win.

We had 4 points after 8 matches last year, had an awesome run of form and were mid table, then a shit run. 38 games is a long season

Saka scored a unstoppable goal and their first goal was an unlucky deflection of Joe. Turner saves that shot if it does not take the unlucky deflection.

Lost here 5-0 last year this year scored a cracking counter attacking goal and Arsenal were hanging on. Took a attacker of for a defender and even had a player booked for time wasting!!!

Proud of the team.

Incredibly tough side to play against as a midfielder.
Problem is Yates has a minutes game. You need in our style to be more dynamic in my opinion. Especially if you are the guy winning the ball the most. In a counter style as soon as you win it it has to be played at ultra quick speed.

We can't look how open we are we simply can't do this for 90mins to chase the game last 10 yes its fine

Against arsenal at least lower teams will be different this year
But look where sitting back tactics got us last year away from home. One of the worst away records in the history of the PL. Having 10% possession and 10 defenders hoping to grind out a draw or a sneaky counter attack goal just invites too much pressure and as the evidence shows doesn’t work.

Massively impressed that Awoniyi has kept his form and seems to already have an understanding with Elanga

And we’re in the bottom three… grrr

In all seriousness, could have been worse. The next two games will tell us a lot. Need a win and performance at home then another step up in performance at Man U before a resounding cup win. I’m fully aware that’s three games.
