Think I made my point with my other threads so to save the mods any trouble I'm axing them

Keep. Deserves time to turn things around after how well he was doing before COVID struck. I also don't see us appointing anyone good if we did sack him.

That said, I expect him to go if he doesn't win either of the next two games.

Bring in a new manager/coach and he'll want a whole team of new players to suit his style and the existing bunch will be off to join the bomb squad. We'll have gone backwards by a couple years if we do that.

Okay, we had an awful last game of the season but we still could have made the playoffs if other results had gone our way. One could argue that we would not have gone up in any case had we made the playoffs, or had Covid not come along, the end to our season would have looked totally different. We'll never know. Shit happens and it happened to us - again. At least last season we weren't battling against relegation and had something to look forward to on the last day, even if it ended in disappointment.

Nobody really cares about the league cup nowadays but sacking the manager for losing the first game of the season is just bonkers. Our fans have complained time and again that the club never gives the manager a chance to establish and build yet here we are again with some fans calling for his head. If we get rid so soon we'll have learned nothing from our past experiences and will deserve nothing.

I guarantee if you can get a "fan-conversation" going about converting the WFCG to a giant ball-park for adult-babies, Tails will have an article in The Athletic about it before the weekend.
This giant ball park for adult babies? When do the tickets go on sale?

    Asking for a friend, natch.

Last time the subject of this thread was suggested the shit hit the fan and his thread was taken down as I recall.
Apart from a couple of losses I'm not sure what's changed.

For me he has enough in the bank pre Covid to deserve another go & I hope he pulls it off

Needs to adapt his style and not be shit scared of toss like Barnsley & QPR

EM held his nerve after the Stoke game when a lot of clubs would’ve sacked him, hope he holds it a bit longer and SL relays the faith shown in him

But he needs to change, or the club will make the change for him.

The reed that does not bend with the wind, shall surely break

    as our Chinese friends say.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Judging by the size of him nowadays, the only thing Reidy bends is his elbow.

    You can't unscrew the inscrutable

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Ridiculous that it's even up for discussion.

Yes the style of play could be more on the front foot, but he can only develop a style with the tools at his disposal.

    Definite in for me.

He’s got plenty attacking options, he just chooses to pack the team with defensive players

    In but review around November.

Trouble is I can see a huge number of these Sabri signings being bomb-squadded by a new manager, particularly if he has a more cultured tactical approach
