    Default I.D.

    Hi there

I've just ordered a senior citizen and under 12 ticket for the W.B.A match over the phone but the ticket office want a copy of our passports I assume to verify the ages. Has this happened to anyone else as it concerns me a bit as it's my passport.(and not because of the cr*p photo)

    It's because you're from France.

Are they proposing you send them a copy before issuing the tickets, that's cutting it a bit fine!

I remember being in the ticket office when an older guy was asked to provide his passport or another form of id, he created quite an uproar, and wasnt prepared to bring his passport in for the ticket office to photocopy. I left and the guy was still arguing.

Does seem abit over the top to want to photocopy your passport and guessing its just so if you do anything wrong in the ground they know where to send the police.

Have you ever purchased tickets before?

I think they just need proof of age as you have requested 2 concessions tickets.

when i first brought my eldest sons season ticket a few years ago they wanted photo i.d. before they would issue it

they reckon they lose thousand of pounds a year by people claiming concesions who shouldn't

Having to sending them by post is ridiculous. Just a simple 'bring ID because we want to check at the turnstyle ' is all that's required....surely?

I posted this some years back. All the kids as they have grown up have had season tickets, University etc whittled the ST holders to Smithy. So on renewal day at ticket office, I was stunned to be asked for ID when he was eligable for the final age concession ticket.

Moving from an Under 18 to Under 21 think about it. I really spat my dummy out at a couple of members of staff who refused the renewal until I provided proof of age. In the end I did demand the supervisor who used their discretion and allowed the renewal, but to me it defied belief, he had an u 18 seaon ticket, aged to the point where he needed an u 21 and it was a problem.

Damn, I thought that this would be a thread about the classic film starring Sean Pertwee.

If you want to claim a reduced price you have to show you are elligible for it. I think thats fair.
