    That’s more than good enough!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

The splendid Janet & John explanation of the issues with Clifton Bridge from someone who knows his onions, and a splendid quip from Polly to follow - made the workshop cheer, this one!

Snapped metal cable doesn't give strength to bridge.

The Clifton Bridge Closure thread is a positive goldmine - this belter of an innocent reply had me in stitches!

Francis Benali (on loan), whose attempts at humour often fall as flat as shrove Tuesday‘s preferred dinner, does occasionally come out with a corker, and here, he offers an insight into the performance of Forest „old boy“ Anel Ahmedhodzic, helpfully also offering a translated version so Anel‘s dad can read it:

Good for the player finding himself first team football. Good luck to him. He still wouldn't be getting first team football at Forest in England's div two had he stayed, so for the best he moved.

The best player is the first to find him in football. I am grateful for it. He couldn't make it to his first home game of English football after 2 months if he lost, so he did well.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

I'll start the ball rolling with Daz's request for Liverpool's, then post some of those already done.

Remember, if someone's already done the badge once, that doesn't mean you can't do it again.

    Pure common sense reasoning.........

There are now 500 or so people in intensive care, so there's 500 ICU beds left until we breach capacity. Given current trajectory that'll take about a week - i.e, if you contract the virus today, just as your symptoms start to show.

Once that happens, who gets that care is going to based on your age and your underlying health conditions. If you are older than 60, or have severe asthma, COPD, diabetes, smoke or are overweight then you will not get the care you need.

There's a 5%-10% chance of intensive care needed if you contract the virus, and a 90% chance of death if you need ICU care and cannot receive it, ie - 4-8% of people dying who contract the virus.

It is an inevitably that these statistics will hold over the next few weeks, but you can avoid being part of these statistics by limiting contact, not touching your face and washing your hands multiple times a day and things you touch in your house at least once a day.

If you have older family members or ones with underlying health issues, then the more you must apply those rules.

Don't follow the crowds. Just because other people are out doing stuff, doesn't make it safe. Do whatever you can to avoid contracting this during the peak. Your chances of surviving are greatly improved if you get it in six months time rather than six days.
