Default Matchday 39: Huddersfield Town Fan Comments

    I'm expecting a 3-0 Forest scoreline.

Feels like it'll be one of those where we run hard for the first 10/15 mins, things will peter out and they will nick one before half time, heads go down and we lose 2 or 3 nil.

I'm hoping for a scrappy point. Forest GK and defence looked dodgy at set pieces and crosses at Wednesday.

Wish we could insist Diakhaby played.

They used him brilliantly as an impact sub against Wednesday, within a minute of him coming on Wednesday scored.

Forest are 5/4 tomorrow - I’m not one to promote silly gambling but lump everything you can on that.

That’s a license to print money.

    My last visit to Forest:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/21448640

Toffolo all over again, Lolley destroys him and no one is anywhere near Ameobi 15 yards out. Very lucky it isn't 1-0.

Damn lucky there. Should be one down. Post came to our rescue.

Based on what I've seen so far, we've got a very good chance of a result here. Keep it up lads!

    Penalty surely?

    Hahahahahaha nailed on penalty.

That is a blatant penalty! Pathetic!

Pritchard has his leg taken away in the box with the ref 5 yards away. How can he not give the foul and penalty?

    Cheated yet again.

Watson doesn't touch the ball there, but Pritchard goes down far too easily. Can see why it wasn't given, but it could have been. Probably would have been at the other end of the pitch.

There is no law on “looking like the player has gone down to easy” He was tripped. Should be a penalty.

    Great free kick. Superbly worked.

Massive chance that we needed to take.

Playing them off the park we really need to capitalise and put one away.

One thing i will say is that forest are a reet set of dirty bassas. The ref seems to be in their pocket as no bookings as of yet. you can bet your ass we'll get a booking first.

Baffling how Forest are up near the top.

because they score goals.......* 1-0 forest

    Utter want defending.

Played ok without threatening, Forest have had the better chances and were bound to take one of them. Need to show some bollocks now.

No *team, at any level, can continually leave players unmarked in the box. We do it game after game. We got away with one earlier, but not a second time.

It's not great defending obviously, but credit to Grabban, it's a pretty shit hot finish coming over the top of the defender.

We must have had the greater share of possession again but Forest did look far more able to fashion decent chances when they did attack.

Well, that's that then. We don't even give ourselves a chance do we?

That was fucking abysmal. Unprofessional fucking shite.

Grabban is their main threat and we don't mark him properly - unbelievable!

How many chances does Watson get before a 2nd yellow?

The difference between the keepers is startling

Theirs is always on his toes and off his line to cut out crosses. Those same crosses would have flashed across our goal with Lossl glued to his line.

Same effort for the second half. Ever hopeful.

    And it's 2-0 straight away.

Well, that's that then. We don't even give ourselves a chance do we?

Fucking abysmal, just relegate us now.

    Was that offside?

Shown every angle on the replay except the one that would show whether it was or not.

Remember when Joe Lolley wasnt good enough for Town?

Why the fuck are we playing such a high defensive line when our centre backs are slower than a pair of disabled tortoises running in glue?

Grant already contributed more on the left than he did up top on his own.

An idiot knows leaving him completely isolated with two huge centre backs and shit high balls will never work. Sadly we have the Cowley's.

The one song Forest sound track wants turning off.

If we turned down £15 million for Grant amidst the general tightness we need our heads checking.

    Yay 3 now.

Fuck off Town you useless spineless wankers top to bottom the club is royally fucked.

If we are happy to drop and be a force in league one then keep the Sunday school teachers. If we want to stay up, sack them in the morning!!!

Forest aren't even that good or needed to do much at all.

Not a 3-0 game but deserve to lose, worst team in both boxes and that’s what counts.

This ref is fucking shit. That is never a red.

Well done Bacuna, you thick fucking bell end.

Never a red. Yellow would be fine in those circumstances.

The ref might as well have worn a Forest top all match.

You can't go around doing that whether play has stopped or not. It was a shocking tackle right down his calf. Red card all day long.

He hacked a man down when he knew it was a dead ball - our dead ball! He deserves a red card for lunacy let alone violent conduct.

He's taken a man down. It's never a red card. Not reckless. Not endangering an opponent. Never a red card.

How is this only 3-0. Embarrassing performance and should have been done 5 or 6.

Grant can bloody go...his head is already elsewhere...

    Penalty. We’re back in it.

Now he gives a fucking penalty? Should have done that when it was 0-0 you dick head.

Least it might make people who judge football by stats think that Grant is a top striker.

Easy to give at 3-0. Sign of a referee who knows he's fucked us today with that one. Gives it at 0-0 and it's a different game, and one I think we win. For all the histrionics here, I don't think we should have lost 3-1. We worked the keeper more, we had more positive moments.

Can't fault the effort today. Bizarrely I thought we were the best team overall but we're struggling to score and too many lapses in defending. Miles better than last week though.

If by the best team you meant having more of the ball without really creating anything then I agree. They were far more composed at the back and created and took better chances. They looked dangerous every time they came forward. We looked toothless.

We lost 3 1 and if it wasn't for lossl could of been 5 6

And if it wasn't for Samba could have had at least 3 ourselves, kind of a keeper's job...

Looked a stone wall pen for us at 0-0 and that might have changed things, but overall some great finishing from Grabban did for us.

I just can believe how soft we are, and it’s been all season. Pritchard gets ball, gets nailed by Watson almost every time he was near him. Even Lolley was putting himself about towards the end.

They should count themselves lucky they didn't have to make a 2 hour drive to see their team play like shite.

Nice to see the Cowleys getting their share of the credit for their league position.

At least they’re recognising the Cowleys aren’t up to it. Imagine going from Wagner football to the fucking Cowleys.

    Thanks for posting Calvin.

Thanks for posting Calvin much appreciated.

A decent set of comments to be fair. But this comment made me chuckle "slower than a disabled tortoise stuck in glue".

I don’t give a shit if „Forest aren’t that good“, or any other such opinionated rubbish.

As long as they keep scoring more goals than the opposite team, that’ll do me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - it baffles me how people can't grasp this "ranking teams based on points scored" method of deciding the league

    Correct Christopher.

I recall people in 2015 saying how shit Leicester were, as well.

But you’re right. In the Championship, you don’t need to be Real Madrid or FC Bayern. Defensive solidity and the ability to nick a goal is where it’s at.

If Forest Shithousery means promotion, then that’s all right with me, and I’m buying the first round *

    * you’ll have to come to Stuttgart to redeem that, of course

'sfunny how some supporters see Bacuna's violent conduct as merely a yellow, some see it as deserving a red because of it being stupid when the ref had already awarded the free-kick and the clock is running down, and one supporter (at least saw it as was: a straight red for violent conduct.
Football wisdom also states the "when both sets of supporters believe the ref was favouring the opponents the ref has in reality been fair and unbiased".
Webb proved that while that may be the case it doesn't make him "competent".
His decision making was equally crap for both sides.
Thanks Calvin - I looked forward to he resumption of the season mainly because I enjoy these "scrapes" you put together.

I thought Bacuna's challenge was stupid but not a red card. Shows what a stupid idiot he is, which played into our hands as it helped run the clock down and left them with less options for the relegation run in.
Hopefully they will now need to recall Diakhaby as cover, which might boost our chances in the playoffs as he won't be there for selection.

The penalty claim in the first half wasn't a penalty

just because Watson touched him doesn't make it a pen, I know we're heading that way but it isn't a non contact sport yet

theatrically throwing yer sen on the deck because Watson leg brushed you doesn't make it a pen

Obligatory, but at the same time diplomatic.

If Huddersfield has one, he's clearly from the posh part.

Huddersfield fans should know about not looking good yet winning. They were the worst team to get promoted to the Premier League in a long time, even did it with a negative goal difference!
