My grandpa grew up in the tenements opposite Ibrox in the 30s and had many stories of sneaking in or sitting on the roofs of the flats to watch the game. SO yep, Rangers for me. Had I so much as uttered a good word about Celtic I'd of been cut from the will lol

Motherwell for me. The bloke at work is a supporter and there's a few that have played for both. Also, they are fan owned and seem to be doing decently at it.

Probably only second to us for name recognisability.

    "Who'd you support?"

    "The Thistle"

If I were going for a Jock team it'd be them for that reason.

I used to look out for Airdrie’s results because we had a factory up there.
The factory is now shut down. Not sure about the football club?

They shut down and came back under a slightly different name.

Both shitty overrated clubs. May as well be asking "Are you a Bristol City or Rovers man"?

For some reason I can't explain with mere logic, I always felt a sense of satisfaction whenever I got their badge in a pack of stickers.

    Is that a euphemism?

I dislike both for their intolerance and hate. I went to an Aidrie v Rangers Scottish cup final at Hampden and Rangers fans didn’t come across well. They also have some unexplained soft spot for Derby.

Celtic are probably more vile though.

    Rovers.

    Like Bristol Rovers.

I don't have a strong dislike for Bristol City, just find them arguably the most boring football club in England.

No club could top Reading for being boring

That's true. But even then Reading are almost famously boring.

Bristol City aren't even interesting in a boring club discussion.

Hearts. Got into them in the mid 80’s when they had a good side with the likes of Robertson, Levein, Colquhoun and lost the title on the last day away at Dundee. That was a good team and always nice to see Rangers and Celtics feathers ruffled by one of the other clubs.

Used to wander round our little bit of West Germany and Holland with a giant Scots lad and join him in singing "My Father's Sash". As a sheltered Norfolk lad I had no idea what we were singing about, but he was a good lad and, after a few Amstels, it seemed like a good idea.

Now I realise how dreary that rivalry is.
