Am I to assume that that's meant as an insult of some sort?

Unfortunately Forest, like almost all FL clubs is a financial black hole. You can chuck as much season ticket money in there as you like, but it won't make much difference to the amount we lose every year while player wages are as they are.

Fans should be automatically refunded unless they explicitly state the club can keep their money. As it is, I'm sure they'll try to make getting any form of refund as difficult as possible.

From NFSC..........A small update from ongoing conversations with the club. We know many of you have questions on ticketing. Firstly we expect match tickets for single games (home or away) to be fully refunded once it's absolutely concluded that these games wont go ahead or be behind closed doors. Appreciate that it's most likely a formality, but an important one nonetheless to ensure that what happens is based on fact and certainty.

The situation around season tickets is obviously more complex and, again, is tied to what happens with the remaining fixtures. Nothing concrete to confirm but the club have been very open to all manner of ideas around how to work through this and we continue to discuss options with them as well as share ideas - we're more than open to new ideas so please do get in touch with them.

Once we know what is happening with the remaining games then this will be easier (not much, but a little bit!) to navigate and draw conclusions on. It goes without saying that if the situation creeps into 2020/21 too (as seems likely) it's even more complex.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

"you count up the number of games there are supposed to be at home, you count up the number of games we've not been able to have at home, you divide the small one by the big one and times it by the number of pounds the season ticket cost and give those pounds back to the customer"

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

...and then watch the club collapse financially as it runs out of money to pay its players.

I'll give 25% of my season ticket if they give up (not defer) 25% of their exorbitant wages.

Yeah the business is in a spot of bother, losing £20 mill a year before the whole world was plunged into recession. Most of the fans will be effected to the tune of at least 25% over the next year or so.. Wage defferal my arse, i'd furlough them for 4 months, see who they like that.. Its actually the only way to stop a load of clubs going to the wall without breaking contracts..

Plenty of supporters will run out of money too before too long. Who's more deserving?

Peasants. Just push the game even more towards a middle class/lower upper class sport, they’ve been doing it for years.

I hope the bubble bursts for football, in its current state it isn’t sustainable and the game has lost sight of what it once represented.

After looking at the picture in another thread of a 1930s game, I think we can safely say the demographic of the spectators has changed.

Unless flat caps are just not as representative of the workers as I thought, but were worn by bosses on their day off.

I got thinking about this today after reading someone saying it’s unlikely fans will be allowed back in stadiums this year.
So, let’s assume January, but if there is a second spike with the virus later this year, that could put it even further back.
That could possibly be almost a whole season we won’t see. If that is the case you’d imagine there would be some kind of refund on that?

    People thoughts?

Having paid for this & next seasons card, I expect to be refunded for every game I don't get to see at the City ground.

Getting tucked up by the club on this, whilst going down the path they've chosen with furlough & players wages, would be the final straw for me.

I doubt we’ll see any refund for this season as the virus came unexpected. Next season is a different matter imo, but I can imagine them offering free streaming of games instead of refunds. Assuming there will be games of course.

They can fuck off if they think they are keeping this season's money.

Some PL clubs have already refunded - think I've read of at least Everton and Man Utd.

S/T refunds have been part of the debate in league 1 about re-starting. The most supported League 1 clubs (Ipswich, Sundlerland, Portsmouth) have been arguing they'd be financially worse off by not playing because of the huge S/T refund they become eligible to pay.

I started off not being bothered about it, but think I'd take it now if given the chance. I do think it should at least be offered. Bournemouth offered 4 options - waive it, give to club foundation charity, take it as cash or have the money off your next one.

That wouldnt do it for me, its the tradition of matchday at the ground that keeps me interested/captive to be honest, this pandemic has taught me that.

I can't imagine holding out for long in my front room when we go two nil down at home.

    Same.

I’d take the knock on this season as it is down to unforeseen circumstances when I purchased the ticket, but not next season.
