Default TrentFM Sport in the 90s

Am I right in thinking that back in the day it was "1st half commentary on Radio Trent, 2nd half, retune to Radio Nottingham"?

And also - can anyone please remember the name(s) of the sports presentners at the time - Tony Delahunty was one, and there was Chris (someone)

    Thanks (asking for a friend!)

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

    Chris Ashley I think.

A sort of local radio version of Piers Morgan.

I remember the old "Radio Trent" 301mw 96.2fm

I remember Chris "the mouth" Ashley in the late 1970s. Then in early 1980s Lee Peck took over the sport on a Saturday for a while.

Tony Delahunty was there for a while in the late 1980s/early 90s. I think he moved to Century FM for a brief period, along with the likes of Darren Fletcher and Larry Llyod

Yes, I remember it being second half commentary only on Radio Nottingham.

Don't remember ever listening to Trent FM though.

Or, as Cloughie described him, "that maniac with a microphone".

Yes with Darren Fletcher in the early to mid 1990s.

Thank you all - Chris Ashley was the name my friend was after.
