    Default Worst Forest Debuts?

Bong's horrendous showing last night made me wonder if there were any other obvious contenders for worst Forest debut ever. Anyone leap to mind?

In terms of sheer hype...then absolute letdown when he did get on the pitch - look no further.

Marco Pascolo v Man City. Forest went up, City went down. City won 3-1 at the City Ground.

Swiss World Cup goalkeeper. Had a mare. Never played for Forest again.

Beck's & McGoldricks stick in my mind.

McGoldrick's proof though that, given time, players can come good. So Bong might spin it round in 5 years or so. Maybe we should loan him out until he's 36?

I assume Dumitru must have been awful.

Somewhere in the world on a football pitch Mikkel Beck is still trying to regain control of the ball after a terrible first touch.

We had a goalkeeper, in the loosest possible sense, at the end of the 60s who played 3 times. His name was Mick Harby. Those 3 games were Sunderland (H) 0-3, Wolves (A) 1-6 and Liverpool (A) 1-6. For some reason he never played again

The Croatian centre half whose name escapes me, so memorable was he (but he had a 5-year contract and sat at home picking up his pay until it expired).
And Nicklaus Bendtner... he must be a contender as well - so unfit he was out of breath after running onto the pitch.

Problem with Jerkan was, he wasn’t a centre half. He was a Germany style Sweeper. We didn’t play with one, so just asked him be a centre-half.

    On a slightly different note...

What about Forest players that were shite at the beginning but were given a chance, and turned out pretty decent?

    Marlon Harewood?
    Mark Crossley?
    Kevin Campbell?
    Ben Watson?

    David Johnson.

Also, Ricci Scimeca, before we moved him to midfield.
And Chris Bart-Williams looked awful to start with.

I'd buy all 4 of those gentlemen a pint.

Here's hoping with some of the current crop

I knew/know Bulwell-born Mick, mainly through being a mate of his younger brother.

That experience completely destroyed his professional career in this country despite the fact he'd been highly regarded as a young 'keeper at England schoolboy and youth level. His confidence was significantly affected, although he later moved to Australia where he managed to carve-out a decent career.

    Muric was pretty dreadful.

We'd have beaten WBA if he hadn't made 2 schoolboy howlers.
