    Default Luke Freeman

Pete O'Rourke reporting that we've joined Leeds in wanting Freeman from Sheff Utd.

Obviously a great creative player at our level but struggled to have an impact since joining Sheff Utd. Capable of playing through the middle or down the left wing so could suit what we need.

    More chance of Morgan Freeman!

More chance of blaming it on the Dougie?

Quality player at this level, I'd be very happy with this.

Could see this being especially beneficial if we did sign someone like Glenn Murray and/or Kodjia as well, Freeman has a great cross on him and very good set piece delivery.

Any player that is not playing regularly for his club is being linked with us, Leeds and Bristol City. Lazy journalism?

A good player but not really a wide man. Would make more sense if Carvalho moves on.

He did play more or less the entirety of last season on the left wing for QPR and had a good season.

Sheff U will prob have to sell before they buy & don't pay daft wages either, so can see this one happening.

I remind you that Sheffield United are reportedly very keenly interested in our Mady Camara. So this could be a triangular negotiation.

Carvalho to Oly still look unnecessary from your end?

Completely. Fortounis is back this week, and Valbuena is like a matured old wine.
We need a central midfielder (two if Camara goes), not a no 10.

What's this guy's pace like? You need some speed when attacking.

Not doubting he can play wide, just think the type of player he is and the style we play, he wouldn't really suit us out wide.

Possibly, although he has played Carvalho out there a few times and Silva so it does seem as though he'd like a playmaker option out there, perhaps someone more used to it like Freeman would settle in to the role more?

If we pull this off Id consider us for top two. We are crying out for a Luke Freeman or Joe Rothwell pro active type to link Sow & Watson to the business end of the pitch.

Freemans looked mustard every time he's come to ours. He'd be perfect for our counter with his ability to travel at pace with the ball. He immediately makes us far less predictable too.

    Make this happen.

If not top two, then certainly he'd be the kind of signing that would help us consolidate in 3rd or 4th at least.

Freeman, one of either Murray or Kodjia and some quality in midfield would represent an excellent window for me.

Always rated him when he was at Bristol City, he looked a cut above. Excellent passer, good engine, always wants the ball. Has destroyed us a few times. Maybe a reunion with Kodjia?

This would be an outstanding signing. not sure he's a winger, but would be perfect behind Grabban. If we can get this one over the line it would be an excellent start to the window. I still think a quality winger is essential though.
