I did this recipe for the first time about seven years ago now, as a change from Turkey.

Literally everyone who is coming for Christmas Day now, asks me, without fail, every year "Are you doing that beef again?"

My dad eats a slice of cheese with his mince pie or Christmas cake. Is that normal?

So no cooking or washing up.

Better be nice for that price otherwise I'm removing stuff from the restaurant.

The cats had a little go at it before I took the picture (as usual) but here's my tree. At least they haven't knocked it over this year, yet!

Following a art and crafts course I did this Autumn I made a number of the baubles out of Kiddies pit pool balls.

Last year having knocked over the tree one of the cats got one of the decorations stuck around her neck.

Christmas decorations (including the tree) have been up at my work since the day after Halloween.
I'd do it about a week before. It's a brief holiday not the season between Autumn and summer.
Christmas adverts annoy me as well.
I do enjoy the day itself, it's nice to have family together but there's too much bullshit in the build up to it.

Went to an Indian in Castle Donnington last week and their Christmas day is only £25 per head. Not sure a curry on Christmas day works for me though.

I thought the holiday was an appropriation of the pagan winter fest celebrations. Given that, from a meteorological point of view at least, winter started yesterday I don't see a problem with having the decorations up now that December is here.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to keep some canaries at home?

Me and the lads always used to go for a curry Christmas day. Usually The Mogul. For some reason they stopped doing it even though it was always busy.
Not wanting to put a damper on it Barry but I can't recall anyone telling me they've had a good Christmas day dinner in a restaurant. Not for what you pay anyway.
