Default Matchday 19: Cardiff City Fan Comments

Nottingham Forest Football Club, often referred to as Forest, is a professional football club based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England. They are also the oldest professional football league club in the world.

Can't see us getting anything here. Going for a comfortable home win unfortunately.

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Cardiff City. Forest have a great defensive record but struggle to score a lot of goals. Can see a very tight game with not many chances for either team.

    Forest beat QPR 4-0 away!

To be fair, QPR played 40 minutes with ten men and most of the goals were very late on.

Still an impressive win and we couldn't break Fulham down for 25 minutes with 10 men

I'd bite your hand off for 0-0.

Lots of early pressure for Forest.

    1-0 Madeen!

Facking get in there yah basTard.

Its been virtually all Forest but City winning.

    Tomlin causing them real problems.

Rode the early storm and taken control now.

Another Forest chance, another miss by Ameobi.

Ameobi so far has had a shocking game.

A nice little period for Forest, this. Carvalho tees himself up for a volley from range but again doesnít quite catch it and again Etheridge is not worked.

Forest having the majority of the game.

Thankfully Forest's final ball has been awful.

That Lolley is a good player for them.

Forest having a lot of possession, every time City get it up field it comes straight back.

Solid first half after the first 10. Took them till the 40th minute to get anything on target.

Forest doing most of the attacking in the second half, we look dangerous on the counter.

Lolley, who has been brilliant all afternoon, turns inside and out as he enters the penalty area. But his shot is over once again.

More awful shots over the bar.

Another chance for Forest. Semedo this time with the shot from a tight angle and, you guessed it, itís over.

More good work from Forest and this time itís skipper Ben Watson who finds himself on the ball in the box, but once again he blazes over.

CLOSE! The closest the hosts have come so far! Jack Robinson bends his shot just wide of the upright.

Shit I thought that was 1-1 for sure.

Delighted with the result today. Thought we looked great in parts and defended well, putting in lots of blocks. That being said, Forest finishing was atrocious. Great to pick our first away win and keep another clean sheet.

    1380 away fans, that's a great turnout.

What a day!! Everyone elated at the end. Fantastic display by the team.

For all their pressure and possession they barely created anything of note.

They had over 30 shots and about two were meaningful.

First-half: Forest put Cardiff under a considerable amount of pressure, but their finishing was awful.

Forest were putting all the balls out to Ameobi who thankfully was having a shocker of a game and missing a number of chances.

Etheridge didn't have a meaningful shot to save.

He didn't, their shooting was terrible. Ameobi had a lot of them.

    It was fucking freezing.

Great win city, unbeaten in 10 now against the strike breakers, 2012 was the last time they beat us, ha.

I love shithousing our way to victory vs Forest. We always beat those scabby *****...brilliant!

Hell of a win. Made all the more sweeter because of the extreme bitterness on the Forest commentators on the iFollow stream. Brilliant! Get in City!

3x as many shots as Cardiff yet just 0.11 xG more.

32 shots from Nottingham Forest.. Just 2 on target. Useless *****. Fucked me for £359.

Forest's forwards couldn't finish a Happy Meal, fucking useless.

What a win, lads played unbelievable against a very good forest team.

First away win of the season, against a team in the play-off positions.

Forest must hate us. They had not won against us in the last 10 attempts. D1 L9. That was a fifth consecutive away win for Cardiff at The City Ground. The first time ever we have won five consecutive EFL away games against the same club.

Woah?! Apparently there was a miners strike in the 1980s?! I've never, ever heard of this event before. I do wish opposition fans would sing this to us every 5 minutes to remind us that it happened.

This is definitely information I really care about and wish to retain.

Fair comments. Injuries forced us to try quality over physicality and our quality wasn't good enough. We do to other teams what they did to us yesterday. No gripes.

Tomlin & Silva would have been a nice little attacking midfield set of options to have here.

You could tell it was their first away win the way they celebrated at the end, I thought they had won the world cup the way they celebrated.

Forest forwards couldn't finish a Happy Meal... wish I'd thought of that for my match report!
As a reflection of the game and the history - spot on.
    Thanks Calvin.

Fair comments, we did blaze most chances over the bar.

Spot on comments, Dreadful shooting and crosses all day long.
Need to change this very quickly or we can kiss goodbye to the playoffs.

As ever, thanks Calvin. I wouldn't argue with most of what their fans said. Their defence did everything they needed to, and their attack did just enough to get the points.
