Ironic that we've loaned out a player who's more ready for this league than the player we loaned in to replace him
I'm far from convinced Walker is particularly 'ready' to be leading the line in this league at all. I'm not sure he ever will be.

Reality is we need someone better than both of them.

He's already scored 4 goals in half a season at this level from out wide. He's a damn sight more ready than Mir who's scored 0 from up front.

I agree though, better would be.....better.

Although I'd still sooner have Walker here as an option than not tbh. Recalling Walker & signing a striker would give us more options all round, and I prefer that.

Tyler Walker would be a better option than Rafa Mir.

Des Walker would probably be a better option than Rafa Mir, even at his current age.

Not convinced of that as I am not sure either is good enough for this league. Walker is one who I think will ultimately end like Jorge Grant, where he's good at lower levels and we possibly sell him off for a small sum.

Could be wrong and hopefully I am.

The fact that we're having to compare them in the first place is the real problem.

It's always easy to do so with the benefit of hindsight.

I think Tyler could become good enough to play in the Championship. He'll never be a 15-20+ goal a season player at this level, but I could see him as someone who is good for 7-12 goals a season perhaps.

I've no doubt he would have fared a lot better than Rafa Mir if he was with with us this season, at the very least.

How was Grabban's goalscoring record at that age?

Nobody knows how good Tyler will be but he does know where the goal is
