Swinging towards voting for the Greens as things stand. Labour and the Lib Dems refusing to work together is losing them my vote.

Why? I thought you were going to read the parties' manifestos before deciding?

I still will - I haven't made up my mind yet and will base that on the manifestos - but Swinson and Corbyn politicking instead of working together to stop the Tories and Brexit is going to have dire consequences when they get their 400+ seats.

Boris Johnson again proving what a massive bandwagon jumping twat he really is, by proclaiming that The Clash are one of his favourite bands.

That’s the ardent, well-known, left-leaning Clash, whose lyrics are absolutely besotted with leftist political ideals and themes, and who, in Joe Strummer, they had a devoted socialist as a vocalist/guitarist, and for whom virtually anything to do with the Tories would be a massive anathema.

Johnson really is an absolute fraud.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Also on Johnson, how can people even consider voting for a man who doesn’t know how to properly make a cup of tea?

I'm not voting Labour, as last time, or Tory, or Lib Dem, or Green, and now the BXP aren't standing here, so I'll probably end up voting for some bloke in a party outfit and a wig.

It's this crap that's the problem. There's always been a portion of MPs who like the twist the truth but what Johnson and Farage are doing is a step way above that. They're regularly outright lying knowing less than a minute later anyone fact checking can correct them but they don't care. We're really seeing a rise of right wing populism in the USA and UK and it's sending our countries down the toilet.

The trouble is the other side get bogged down condemning it, then the populists posts/say the next thing and you're just following all the time.

Has anyone ever formed an "alliance" as we are calling it before an election has took place though?

The concept of forming coalitions before the election has took place is like throwing the towel in before you've been punched. You're basically telling everyone you aren't going to win.

I think you'll find there'll be a lot of back tracking from Labour, Lib Dems and the SNP once the election has happened, assuming, as I think it probably will be, there is a hung parliament.

Johnson and the Tories are keeping themselves well away from the Brexit Party because of the message it sends out. We know in reality that will probably profoundly change if it gives them the opportunity to form a government.

Clegg and Cameron were practically the same in 2010. I'm sure Cameron called Clegg someone nowhere near fit to be near Number 10, or something along those lines before forming a coalition government with him.

Fairly frequently, but usually restricted, to winning a small number of specific seats where there is a particular issue that a number of parties think takes importance. This is obviously done before the votes are counted and a set is won.
It's important to note that losing candidates in a seat can't combine votes after the fact. But obviously parties can choose to create a pact based on combining the total number of seats they have won.

Have just come across an incredible statistic...101 parliamentary seats have not changed party hands since 1945.

    Talk about stagnant.
