It's probably a really ideal time for the squad given the number of games, potential burnout and the chance to nurse a couple of key players through to the next round of games........but fuck me I hate the break.

I usually hate them but if it means Sow gets the rest he needs without missing a game, I'll take the hit this time around.

I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

When we're on such a fantastic run it could count against us. Might disrupt the momentum we've built up.

Usually suffer through an international break - this one's fairly comfy, as they go.

To be fair, as a 32 year old, that World Cup semi final is the most enjoyment I've had watching football.

International breaks are shit in the autumn, but it's a means to an end for an exciting summer.

And Dawson should be back too. Not that any of his deputies have looked bad.

I have it on good authority from the LTLF members that the pumpkins have already been harvested.

At least Forest didn't go into the break on a downer. The total opposite in fact.

Could be the case, but from what I read of Monsieur Lamouchi, I think he relishes them. Gives him time to organise his squad. He's always talking of sessions, and how unhappy he was with the 8 games we had in August?Sept. The break really gave him time to drum his message in. I don't see competitive teams really affected by them. Eg: Burnley, Cardiff, Sheff Utd and Norwich. All these teams simply carried where they left off and got promoted. We have such a long league, these breaks are useful. The real crunch come in December until FA Cup Rd 3. Plethora games especially Christmas period. The French maestro really will have his work cut out.

If you watch major international tournaments you can’t moan about international breaks.

I can because if we didn’t have such a ridiculously elongated qualifying campaign we wouldn’t need so many games & therefore just play 1 game on a Wednesday without disrupting the domestic weekend program

I think SL will turn it into a positive.
Its a prolonged active rest period but ideal to get some recovery into those that need it and forward plan the next chunk of the season.
How many are off on international duty? Muric? Milo? Anyone else?

I'm not an avid follower of International football, so these breaks grate on me a bit.

That said, Two weeks of unbroken training & planning has to be a good thing with Lamouchi in charge.

I can and I will. The whole qualification process is a pointless farce. Just let all the teams compete in a main tournament. Sorted.

Idly watching SSN this morning whilst they were chatting about Man U, Man City and Liverpool as they a wont to do, endlessly, when on a side bar up popped the Championship Table. I instantly cheered up and smiled; my morning was complete.

Dawson & Sow get much needed breathing time, and we get an extra week sat 2nd.

    I'm happy with that
