No. We certainly need to sign another striker, hopefully someone good enough to push Grabban for his place. So far we have been lucky but we all know our Promotion challenge would be over if Grabban gets injured. We are better covered in wide positions.Ribeiro could fill in there,Cash could move forward. Not ideal,I know but better than the lack of striking options.

Oh we need another striker for depth sure, I'm just disputing that we should spend big money on someone to warm the bench until Grabban gets injured/suspended or shoehorn them into the side as a winger.

A quality winger, on the other hand, could improve our starting XI and would be more than just a squad player.

Grabban is 32. He shouldn't be required to play every game and complete 90 mins in most games. Another striker wouldn't be warming the bench as he would probably start a few games and keep them both fresh. As Abdoonk says they could push each other too.

He'd be warming the bench most weeks though, assuming Grabban remains first choice. We shouldn't be spending huge money on a player who isn't going to be in the starting XI on a regular basis, it makes no sense from either a financial or footballing perspective.

There simply isn't room for two big money strikers at a club that only plays one up front, it's impossible to keep Grabban or a potential new big money striker happy if they aren't regularly starting games. We need more depth upfront, but we need to be realistic about what kind of player we can bring in who would be happy playing 2nd fiddle to Grabban.

I think someone mentioned it earlier. Sign Greg Halford, he'd be happy to sit on the bench every week and he could double up on defensive duties if necessary.

To give an idea of the market for strikers, Brizzle are just about to sign Rodri. The one that flopped at Wednesday many moons ago.

He’s scored 51 senior goals in 10 years.

This window will be massive for us I honestly feel we need to make quality signings to challenge. We need Grosiki in my opinion and a couple of different striking options. We will also need an extra midfielder. I have been so impressed with the defence though I am proud as punch that worrall is proving me wrong and playing well. So I don’t think we will need any signings there. Also Matt Cash has been immense and he is looking really good at rb at the moment.

What? Emerson saying we need no more defenders.

    I need to go for a lie-down.

How does a striker that averages 5 goals a season still continue to make a living out of the game?

Football is a career where managers are sacked for failing to succeed, only to move on to a higher-paid job at a bigger club. It's madness.

Desperate clubs looking for a cheap sticking plaster, probably.

That Lincoln striker might be worth a punt. 7 goals in 13 this year now. Asking price of £0 isn't bad either

Not unless some 32 year old who's constantly broken & scores less gets bought here on a bigger wage instead

We'll see how serious the owner is about promotion soon.

Not a cat in hells chance we can sustain a push with just Grabbagranny.

Just to throw a name out there, but what about Scott Sinclair? Tore up the league with Swansea, apparently on his way out of Celtic, still only 30. Could offer us some pace and goals from out wide or through the middle.

I’d love to have Grabbagranny and old Kodja as our strike force, perfecto!

I would love to see him here. A realistic target who would definitely improve us. Quality player.
