As does the blues. 'Blue notes' are microtonal.

The Pistols famously copied the riff from In The City on Holidays In The Sun to piss of Paul Weller after he twatted Sid Viscious at the 100 Club.

Well, yes, but primarily we were talking about western music?

(Obligatory: „we got both kinds here; Country and Western!“)

There’s all sorts of different stuff going off, frequency wise, in traditional Japanese music as well (if you’ve ever heard someone playing a samisen, you’ll know what I mean).

In western music, you can mix modes (which is something Bryn mentioned above that Sonic Youth did so well, and musically it was really cool), and in Jazz, there’s some absolutely mindblowing stuff going on, listen to Kamasi Washington, for example.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Was putting some new sockets on earlier and noticed that the wiring colours were all mixed up- to which I burst into my own version of the Chrystal Gayle song “Don’t it make your brown wires blue “ (yeah I know it’s eyes) (and yeah my mam used to listen to it - alright!?)
Anyway, I was soon into singing “Saving all my love “ by Whitney Houston.

I am sure that if one had a sufficiently detailed and broad knowledge of published music since time began, one could identify the influences (rather more sympathetic term than plagiarism) for any music published from the late 1960s onwards.
Even Barry Manilow (musical demagogue and undoubted master of the piano-forte) has been influenced by classical pieces in many of his otherwise superb and unsurpassed pieces.
Sting used the classical themes of the Russian composers for his "I believe the Russians love their children".
The only piece I cannot easily cite a back reference for is possibly "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep".
That alone in the canon of all music ever is without precedent.
