Had a week in Tonga. The greatest stars I'll ever see. Sky was like a planetarium.

I see the England match is also in the same stadium England beat Argentina in at the football WC in 2002.

    Not this time.

    Red rose on a shirt
    Webb Ellis still gleaming

    Never stopped me dreaming

    Go on, Fiji.

Watching these international rugby tournaments always makes me wish I was travelling in the South Pacific.

Drank rum with Fijian police and skinny dipped at night with the phosphorescence there. Don't get to do a lot of that here.

Rugby mad on those islands. And a lot of the population seemed built for it. Rugby World Cup, and the sevens put them on the map I suppose.

If they had a SP Islands side sort of like the West Indies in cricket ..Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and kept hold of all their players they'd have to pretty good, wouldn't they? And everybody's second favourite team.

    Haha.

This could get the tournament off to a flyer.

    Boo.

I have Oz in the work sweepstake at least. And had them to win by 18 in the work predictor league. End it there.

Ireland crumbling mentally again at the World Cup.

Really does my head in how they can never cope with pressure. Get Roy Keane in that dressing room.

Japan were absolutely brilliant. Nine points down, and they had the strength to come back and win.

    HAI!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Tbf not being very good was a more significant factor in them being knocked out.

Japan v Scotland is on. Should be interesting. Scotland to win, but not by enough and to go out? Would seem the Scottish sporting way.

This WC has Champions League-itis. Group stage seems to go on forever just to arrive at the knockout fixtures everybody more-or-less knew would be happening.

Yep just as boring and predictable as the CL group stages & qualifying for the WC & Euros

Japan: loss of life in extreme weather, millions evacuated.
Canada: how can we help with the clear-up in a small way please?

    Scotland: We'll fucking sue you.

    Come on Japan.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?
