Semedo & Bostock should probably be judged more for their creativity in position, Sow more an enforcer type who wins back posession all over the pitch & gives it fairly simple. To that end Id rather him in the 4 as a matter of course.

Dont really get the paralell, each player brings something different.
I agree. I'm expecting Bostock to play more of a part from now on, and Semedo is inconsistent but hugely talented. We need both to be involved.

It only takes a second to score a goal.

Well don't forget to add that you're currently pushing for promotion at your 3rd attempt in Div 3 of the LTLF Leagues Keith. And best change your name to Keith Vichioffskibullermullerspatzio so you cover whatever nationality they may be considering.

This Swansea game is getting in the way of my all important 'lets see how we do against the lower teams' 9 game run that follows it. So for annoying me I say we go there and annihilate them 0-1.

Hey Sabri; Crecy - Poitiers - Agincourt - Welsh bowmen. Go get 'em Sunshine.

Trouble looming here, hope we hold them 'til half time, might have a squeak then.

They'll come at us like a tornado from the off, our defence wont have come up against a sterner test especially first half.

Cant see us doing a Fulham this time, not at the Vetch Field.

Ultimately Bostocks a better passer of the football.
Semedo is the best traveller with the football
Sow is the most robust & proficient at stealing back posession.

Three players, all of equal use to us this season, doing different things.

Can you keep the goal posts still please.
I missed going to the Preston game, but when I watched the match back I was like..."who the fuck is our 21, he looks very very good on the ball"
It was Sow - I was led to believe he was just a clogger, but he can travel and pass too big time.

Loan or 'permanent' makes little difference in reality, but it can help both parties when a player is either motivated to secure a better contract or wants to impress his parent club.
And also, if Forest get a player in on a „permanent“ deal and he absolutely smashes it from the off, then the attention of clubs in the division above will be tweaked, and then the Club might have to deal with bids for said player, either at the end of the season or indeed maybe even interest in January.

See Michail Antonio, for one recent example.

FWIW I think Bostock is a loan with an option to buy. Not that it matters, short termism in the Championship is nothing new so how relevant is next seasons squad?

It's te Championship way (by and large).
A smattering of young lads, a few seasoned professionals, a number of loanees, a few unknown overseas players (where do they stand when/if we ever Brexit?) and a regular influx and outgoing of other players.
Very few Championship sides have the approach where they gradually build a team over a few seasons.
Every club owner appears to be desperate for rapid access to the Premiership billions.
There are few who I believe don't have this as their sole motivation for owning a Championship club.
Oh, and throw in Asian and Far Eastern gambling addicts and fixers and that's modern football in a nutshell.

Due to a host of reasons this is my first game in the flesh this season, so nailed on loss sadly. However I'm very much looking forward to an afternoon on the smash regardless!

Not really falling out, mate. Our opinions differed. I was having a bad time in my personal life at that point and overreacted by putting you on ignore for a short while. But your posts are always considered and constructive, which is something to be valued in my opinion.

    Didn't know you'd fallen out?

A lot of things were swept under the carpet during the Great Alf-Rzaretech Dislike War of 2018.

The Wes-Barry Non-Aggression Pact for one. That Samuel resigned and joined Bangerz and Clagnut in the neutral zone. They gave their airports up to be shared by the war-ing sides.

    It's LTLF's version of Brexit.

We don't need to fear anyone but we do have to play without fear.
Lamouchi seems to have adopted a policy of sitting back for the first 15 minutes, keeping it tight and making sure not to concede an early goal. It has worked in that narrow sense but I think it is problematic.
It cedes the initiative to the opposition and against good sides it allows them to build up a momentum that is not so easy to reverse.
In three games so far(50 per cent) we're taken a pummelling and been fortunate not to be more than 0-1 down by halftime. The manager has then done an excellent job of regrouping and getting back on terms
but it raises the question as to why we have to wait so long to really play.
Ironically, in the toughest fixture against Fulham we were just that little bit more aggressive and purposeful from the start and it paid off. I'm hoping for something similar here, though I'd be very happy with a draw.

We're going to be extremely lucky here to get anything imho.

We can bounce back against Barnsley.

I'll be interested to see if Bostock is involved on Saturday.

I have a feeling that if he isn't, SL is unlikely to use him moving forward.

I see Bostock as potentially more of a flat track bully, decent option to open the "weaker" sides up with his passing range. To that end, seeing Watson rolled out, against strong Swansea side who are destined to come at us, wouldnt be a shock.

Think Bostock also has a bigger part to play when players like Silva & Semedo have settled.

    Watson will start for sure.

If Bostock isn't on the bench, I'd be surprised if we see him again.
