17 year old striker - https://www.football-wonderkids.co.u.../alex-mighten/
On the bench for the carabao cup tonight - I didn’t realise he’d signed a pro deal already. Apparently started on his 17th birthday according to the above link.
Grant and co are very excited about him.
Got a hunch this Mighten out to be true
The pro contract was meant to kick in when he turned 17 in April but I imagine he has signed it now to have the involvement he has had.
Mighten of the left, Arivin off the right with Brennan surging through the middle and linking with Will Swan (who has also been training with the first team) is the future attack. Love to see it

Heard he fits into the team like a glove.
Is he in the frame for the Arsenal game?
Been easily beating his man all half in the game on the go. Nice assist here.

Did they score in the first 16 seconds of the game??
Starting v Czech Republic for his 9th England u18 cap. Scored off the bench v Russia and started v Norway before this. At Pinatar Arena where we had pre-season.
I wonder if this kid is the reason we flogged Appiah

Don't let Fat Frank see him......
Just compared the U18's photo above with our school first XI which was basically an U18 team. No wonder we were no blinking good!! Mind you it was 1959 so the kit and diet was slightly different. Plus I'll bet the England lads didn't have Woofer (our centre half) diving behind the sports pavilion for a quick drag.
Looks like him. There’s a great interview with him on the Athletic. He’s a very bright young man and he hasn’t let that goal against Man U get to his head.
Has he signed his pro yet?
I know it was announced a while back he'd agreed it, but heard he had held off on putting pen to paper.
He was meant to have signed his first pro when he turned 17 last April. Pretty sure that has been sorted (was 1 or 2 hiccups) and it is only until end of next season.
When he turns 18 you can offer him a longer term deal (no restrictions). Which is exactly what happened with Appiah and now Johnson.
