Fortunately, due to the Coronavirus, your summer holiday will be a damp squib somewhere in Britain so that probably won’t be a problem?

That Website has a frankly fantastic interview with The Number Nine today, where he talks about Burton Albion, and a lot about Forest.

Well worth a read, if you’ve a subscription.

Looked at Welsby's twitter feed recently.

After watching every First Division 1989-90 recently courtesy of the ITV archive, I noticed Elton was an Everton fan. Don't think I ever realised that at the time. Twitter confirmed it for me. Also noticed it was quite an amusing feed.

Was a big fan of Welsby. Bit cheesy, but he was wordsmith. Can't get tired of hearing him making Shakespearean and biblical references to describe consolation goals for relegation-doomed early nineties Charlton Athletic. Or Derek Mountfield pressing self-destruction buttons.

He's got form for this on Twitter. Lockdown appears to be preventing him from spending time with other people's wives, so he has nothing better to do than offend people in other ways.

    For the avoidance of doubt:
If I see anyone attempting to desecrate in any way the statute of Brian Clough in Nottingham, I will break your skull open with a length of 4x2.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Not convinced anyone associates old big ed with racism; quite the opposite in fact

Unfortunately Peter is rather far to the right in his political opinions.

He should have stuck to keeping goal, he was pretty good at that.

Read an article in which he was referred to as Brexit's Peter Shilton.

Haven't been able to think of him as being called anything else since.

Its typical tory/right stance. If you dont like it leave. I'd be more inclined not to call them ***** if they took their own advice during Labour governments.

I still recall, with much amusement, the song started in the Trent End, aimed toward the legendary goalkeeper, after he’d admitted to „taking a young lady out for dinner“:

    „Peter Shilton, Peter Shilton!
Does your wife know that you’re here?
Does your wife know that you’re here!“
