£700,000 a week whilst Notts County's staff queue at food banks. Disgusting.

The first £1mil a week footballer?

    It had to be us.

It only takes a second to score a goal.

    Maybe Rhodes should buy them.

6 goals in 36 league games last season. Not great really. We might as well just keep Murphy for another year instead of signing players like this.
    Hmmmm....

It's another one of those "shit option, but we need more options" situations.

Club just needs to start signing good players. As Mr Fossill says, Olivera would have been ideal for the price.

We'd be better off just keeping Murphy than signing the likes of Rhodes though. Rhodes is proper bomb squad material (hence why he is in Wednesday's bomb squad and they are trying to shift him).

Missing out on Oliveira was a real shame, I hope the club has something good up there sleeve but I fear a deadline day panic signing (perhaps someone like Rhodes!) is becoming more likely the closer we get to the end of the window.

Don't worry, we could do a Bobby Bonilla with him

Grabban's movement and link up play is generally underrated but he's looked lost in the friendlies. Hope he's just saving himself and it's not the system.
Thought we should've tried to hijack Oliviera move to Aik Athens.
Anyone who can score 9 from 28 appearances in a Dougie Freedman side cant be that bad.

Think he's turned one decent season into a very lucrative career.

Think he falls into the same category as Ross McCormack, he was a fantastic goalscorer once in the Championship and would of walked into any team in the league but that was then, this is now.
We need a mobile striker with speed to make this system work, I don't see Jordan Rhodes doing the high press do you?

To be fair to Rhodes, he was a decent striker and had 6 good seasons at Huddersfield and Blackburn.

However, he has managed just 36 goals in the last 4 seasons and I don't think he's even in the Scotland squad these days.

Fkin ell, even I could get in the Scotland squad. If some distant relative had once visited Scotland.

He is Greek too, so that's a plus sign if you're looking for the omens.

One I remember someone posting last time we were rumoured with him:
Rhodes? Where we're going we don't need Rhodes.
