    Default [BUPA] Romaine Sawyers

Percy reporting WBA are in for him @ £3m. I’d love to see Sawyers at the base of our midfield.

Although having said that, I’m not convinced by his defensive output. For instance Luongo had 3.1 tackles per game (2nd highest in division) but Sawyers only has 1.3

Looks like Sawyers played alot of his career further forward. Could be a square peg in a round hole.

That said, Thomas Frank had him there in a very fluid Brentford side, so it could work.

West Brom looks probably have more pull given he started out there.

    I thought he was a playmaker/no #10, MXJ?

Good player but not convinced he fits in, especially with Silva & Carvalho on the books.

More chance of a bunch of Remain Supporters.

I mentioned him earlier in the summer before we'd signed anyone but I think he's very similar to what we have in Silva now. Like you say we probably need a bit more physicality and defensive nous competing for Watson in that deeper role. That said for £3m it's a great signing.

More chance of Darren Huckleberry Finn.

I think the comparison to Silva is more apt - more like an 8 than a 10.

I think we've had enough of Remainers.
