The stage is set for this fella to really take off now. Come on Tiago, we've been waiting for a superstar for far too long.

His confidence is clearly growing on the Derby showing, think once he gets on the scoresheet, he'll go to another level again.

I was thinking the other day I've got a feeling I can see him having another gear that he goes into once he hits the back of the net.

Even when some were criticising him or, in some cases, even questioning the point of his recruitment a matter of weeks ago, there was still enough tangible evidence of his capabilities. It's good that he's now beginning to prove those people wrong.

One bad game and he’ll be another waste of money foreign import

Of course, that goes without saying, unfortunately.

Another Forest player pleasing on the eye that often gets overlooked.

It's always seemed clear to me that he had it in his locker, but took a while to adjust to the Championship.

Sometimes a bit of patience is required with these types of signings, a player of Silva's quality is always worth persevering with.

Indeed so RB. It was the purely instinctive "showboating" that made Duncan the player he was, a natural entertainer who would be celebrated by today's Sky generation.

Did he come in for much flak?

I found him frustrating giving the ball away and being muscled out on arrival, and said he needed to adapt, but he did. And he has.

Always thought we don't give enough latitude to players who try something out of the ordinary. The list of basic passing midfielders at the club is endless, players like Silva will get you out your seat, but he wont always get it right. I always forgive flair players the odd mistake for the entertainment they bring & the doors they open.

    See Guedioura.

Me too. But he did need to step up. Had he stayed at the level he was at on arrival we'd probably be looking for better in Jan, or hoping Carva quickly morphed into the mythical God everyone's hoping he is.

I'd say his ratio of success from attempts at flare have improved a fair bit, as has his possession & his "bounce-back-ability".

    He's done brill.

Trouble is the doors that Guediora opened were in the shithouse on the concourse when one of his wayward passes hit them.

From my observation, yes, albeit from a minority on here, though more so on Vital, and also on that largely-sanctimonious COYR forum (incidently, for the record, I was previously booted off of there for the crime of confessing to be a member of, and sticking up for, this very forum - although the clincher may have been me telling 'The Jock' that he speaks out of his arse!).

Think yourself lucky Otis; they accused me of hacking their forum, and creating multiple threads about squirrels - a disgraceful smear!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

I can have my cantankerous moments RB, as I'm sure others can testify. A tendancy of responding with sarcasm towards a poster I disagree with is probably my worst trait.

Nothing wrong with that, some of them deserve it

But players aren’t going to learn that on the training ground. They need time on the pitch to learn these things.

Thought he was very, very good tonight.

Sat in a mostly deeper role, got tackles in, recycled possession and always looked to get Forest moving forwards.

Lower key than usual, but with no Yates, Sow or Semedo, did more spade work and played a team role rather than showing off. He has it all in his locker and his only limits are physical ones.
