Those clips show a player what we desperately need if it's what he does on a regular basis and can do it from an 8 position and deeper. That sort of play is what we need to bring Carvalho and Lolley into play.
It's a good early indication of Sabri's quality too. He's identified the issue early that we have and our lack of personnel to fulfil that role, then he's targeted the exact player to rectify it. Excellent work from the gaffer thus far if true.

    Yes, yes, yes, fucking yes.

EXACTLY the sort of player that we need to be looking for.

Was growing concerned that we hadn't been linked with any real quality midfielders but this chap sounds like he might be an interesting signing and the type of player we need.

Sabri has been out of work for quite a while, and he was hired so quickly after MON left.....

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was fairly up to speed with our squad before he even took the job “officially”.

The way that Johnson has gone to Spain but Grant hasn’t, someone has definitely been making decisions on our players before Lamouchi turned up, whether that’s Modesto, Lamouchi or both.

I would imagine that it is someone above him targeting the player. Exciting nonetheless.

Probably a decision made by committee.

But Modesto certainly has had a good look at the squad over recent months. I imagine he has had a good say on what we have, need and need to remove.

Are we assuming this Modesto guy is our DoF?

I don't think he's our DOF. I think he'll still have a scouting involvement with Olympaicos too. I think he's just someone who is very trusted with EM and his team, and they want his influence over matters here as they're very clearly still learning.

For instance, all the noises a couple of months ago, from people who do have an influence at the club, were that O'Neill would see his contract out as minimum and they wanted to give him the time. Obviously that's changed. I'd speculate it's based on what they've seen, what Modesto has said and then as stated by Taylor, it's what the players have said when they've been asked too.

But I do think EM is trying to learn and find the best way to approach this country and league.

It does look that way if you dip below the surface. The best people in charge of any company aren't afraid to change things if they realise something isn't working or make mistakes. I'm of the same opinion that Marinakis is learning as he goes along and is endevouring to change whatever and whoever he needs to.

The support teams and infrastructure he puts around people is fantastic.

Having a little look online about this guy, there’s a few stories that he’ll definitely be leaving Feirense this summer, either “abroad”, to another Portuguese club or to Saudi Arabia.

Looking at the comments, most people agree that he’s “a good player” “Feirense’s best player” and “Feirense’s only good player” (ouch).
Saw a few comments from Belenenses fans who were unhappy that he was loaned to Feirense with a purchasing option.

He did get sent off last year in the cup for two yellows, after which he got in the ref’s face and called him “a weak son of a whore”, before calling the fourth official “a fucking thief” and “a massive son of a whore” for good measure.

Scored 5 goals and 9 assists last year in a team that went 30 games winless (!).

2 years left on his deal and his agent only has one other client according to transfermarkt, a 39 year old out of contract centre-half. So, much like Christian Eriksen’s agent, he’ll need to move his only client to make his commission. I hope we don’t pay too much to his agent (although i seem to recall we were among the lowest spenders on agent fees last year?).

Can’t find much else on the lad. Sounds like a decent player though.

The last couple of little, technical centre mids called Silva who have come into the English game have been decent enough.

Now that we've missed out on Coutts to Fleetwood, hopefully we'll have a spare penny or two for this fella

Deffo sounds like my kind of guy.

He looks tidy, but I'm afraid you're getting overexcited by a poorly edited video.

As far as the chances of this happening, I'd say the fact Tails reported it is significant. The club had to feed him some information eventually. He's the only fulltime Forest reporter and everyone else had scoops except him. I was almost feeling sorry for him.

I don’t. A fair proportion of his „exclusive“ stories are made up of nonsense he nicks from online forums and social media

This kid is just what we have been missing. Get him, a decent winger and a top striker and we are on our way
