    Default Gavin Whyte

Supposedly readying a 2m bid for Oxford's Northern Irish winger.

His hattrick this season for Oxford. Looks to have speed to get in behind.

Has a section labelled controversy on his Wiki page which reads:

"Whyte was spoken to by police, and publicly apologised, in January 2019 after filmed footage appeared of him exposing his genitals in the street during an evening out with friends in Belfast."

Ha ! It was only a matter of time until it came up.

It is one of the main stories when you search his name. Supposedly his mum was in tears over his drunken sex act

I think this lad has something.

Good speed, good balance when running and keen to get direct in behind.

Much rather see us pick someone up at this stage of their career than their 30s or when they've already made the move up and will cost over double what they do now.

Well the last good Northern Irish winger we had was Kingsley Black so perhaps there is a pattern here.

    Don't see a pattern myself.

Can you spell it out in Black and Whyte please?

    More chance of Jon Whyte.

    He’d keep Forest in suspense.

Jason Cummings Mark 2... you read it here first!
Also, in that video clip he put me in mind of Jamie Paterson.
And that ended well for Forest!

Oxford fans think he's worth twice what we're offering. It's nice to see we're looking at the lower leagues again.

Been trying to find yt vids... etc. Couple from his days at Crusaders.

Seems full of confidence and self belief, likes to run with the ball in behind. Seems to be handy on the break.

47 goals in 150 games for Crusaders in NIFL.

Moved to Oxford United last summer. 36 league games, 7 goals and 5 assists. 11 cup games with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Just broken into N.Ireland team, with 1 goal in 4 games (Vs Israel).

Can only see a couple of the FL Videos from him this season, as after a while they seem to be removed from Sky.

7 goals and 3 assists in 36 games for a pretty average Oxford side, not too shabby. Pace to burn (which is what we need) and rated at a lot higher than £2m by Oxford fans. Wouldn't be opposed to this, sounds like the kind of player that could make the step up.

Not worth anything like £2m. I'd take him for £500k but no more. Would have to massively improve too.
