Isn’t that like Forest having different kits for the League, the FA Cup and the League Cup?

Talk about ripping off the fans!

In a way. But also the polar opposite as Notts usually make the latter stages of the cups.

I'm sure there is a thread somewhere about cricket, but a game which has about 20 different formats and an interesting way of changing the seasonal fixtures around so you never quite know which version of the game your team is playing (unless you're a bit nerdy about the game) is in a bit of bother.

At least that is one decision that the top football powers have got right; the competitive forms of the game are all played on the same size pitch and last for 90 minutes. Technology is beginning to fracture the pure ideals, but not too much yet.

But that is like comparing apples to oranges. Football is a game which lasts 90min, which is perfect time wise for people. It is why the majority of films last that long, it is the sweet spot.

With cricket you had the 5 day test match, which in its nature has a very slow pace. It is a difficult sport to watch if you aren't a cricket nerd.

The 50 over stuff gives the best of the long and short game, essentially 1 day of a 5 day test match. The pace suits the purists and the day trippers.

The 20 over stuff gives you a couple of hours of entertainment. The casual fan wants a few beers, the big hits and to see the wickets fly.

If cricket didnt do these things, it wouldn't be in the mainstream and would lose out on some really talented players to other sports. Where I do draw the line is this 'the 100' stuff which I dont think anybody wants or the game needs. It already caters to it's different fan bases.

I remember going to a Hammers game some years ago and on the way to the match son-in-law asks if we ever play in red shorts. "No" I says; then you can guess the kit of the day for the Trickies; red shorts and white shirts.

Quite liking the new spring/summer range. First time I've known them release a new range at this time of the season. Perhaps they have brought the release forward to drive a bit more income.

Is it just me that finds that is a horrendous amount of money for a shirt or a hoody?

They are really going to need a rethink on pricepoint now as will most of the retail sector. More people than ever in recent memory just won't have the surplus cash to buy what was already an expensive product.

Someone's put some concept kits up on twitter.

I'd love us to go with the retro feel of the red/white/black and yellow labbatts kits of the past.

Not a fan of black on the home shirts. A tiny bit ala 1989-91 is acceptable but only just.

I do like faint patterns though, the checkers is decent. Umbro used to do that a lot.

That pinstripe’s ace, but I also like that stripy collar on the other one

    Oh FFS.

It's chequered pattern of 87-89 and the stripey neck of 76.

Not sure about combining different bits of old shirts. Leave something for somebody else.

I would pay whatever to get this from the one's SSM posted above. The red one (even with black) and I am always a big fan of white with red trim would be bought by me too.

Not a fan. The two-tone makes it look like a cheap hooker's bra which deliberately shows some underboob.

Pinstripe one linked to best of the bunch but only a decent 7/10.

That two tone pattern is lifted from the 94-96 red and black home shirt.

I think I'm seeing how you create these things.
