Default Sex and Gender Classification in Sport Research

    Hi all,

I am involved in a research study looking at fans' views of sex and gender classification in sport and I am hoping you can spare a few minutes of your time to share your thoughts in an online survey: https://teesside.onlinesurveys.ac.uk...nder-and-sport

    Thanks in advance.

I did it, but I thought some of you questions were a bit loaded.

Many areas of society are making adjustments to accommodate the growing number of trans persons: employment, education, the military, hospitals and prisons are all changing. How do you think sport will change?

I will wank over less female sportstars

Another loaded answer, does this mean you wank over transgender sports stars and you think of them as less of a female?

Alf is half-Italian, so, „any-a holes-a a goal“, as they say in Rome.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

We went to Rome for the first time a few years back and was really disappointed at what a shit-hole it literally was. The first thing we saw when we exited the Railways Station was a 20 stone bag-lady wiping her bare arse with kitchen roll after taking a dump on the pavement.

It's the most spectacular city I've ever visited, by a country mile. It certainly suffers from poor governance and more than few societal challenges, but if you can't see beyond the dogshit and graffiti to the fact that pretty much every social and cultural value worth upholding found its earliest expression there or thereabouts, then I'm not sure there's any helping you.

I did see the one building that I came especially came to see, which was Borromini's "San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane" which is off the main tourist routes and was as magnificent as I expected. Far too many tacky gift shops, big crowds and grime in the main areas to enjoy it.

Castel Gandolfo and Nervi were far more interesting than overrated Rome.

Each to their own I suppose, though I can't help but suspect a 2000 year old sense of grievance might have coloured your views...

Maybe you should hang around and embed yourself in the community, it would result in an enlightening ethnography of fans views.

 Don't be ridiculous, my two favourite buildings are San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane and Corbusier's Notre Dame du haut, both Catholic churches.

As Sigmund Freud wrote on the postcard of the Arch of Titus that he sent to a friend "The Jew survives it."

When I went to Munich I made a point of visiting the surviving Nazi buildings and saying Kaddish, along with standing in the Odeonplatz and saying the Shehecheyanu. I did no such thing in Rome.

The Romans left a huge and valuable legacy to us, the fucking Nazis didn't.
