I don’t believe Mods are „everywhere you look“, our job as Moderators is to keep the Forum running along nicely and to deal with anything reported to us. That includes keeping an eye out for things that would get the Forum in to trouble, which includes links to illegal streams (a particular bugbear of mine).

LTLF is actually fairly self-moderating because the vast majority of members behave themselves.

A Moderator will only get involved if we spot something or if someone reports a post to us (none of us have time to read every single post on here).

We will welcome full and open debate, always have. We will not censor, suppress, or otherwise remove posts unless they violate either the Forum Rules, or the Law of the U.K.
That’s fine mate pick up on it

I get called an odious cretin and from what I can see nought happened and yet I express my views, tough that they are and I’m getting picked up

Not really fair rules is it

My point being about the forum is that imo it has changed for the worst

Again imo. Another thing that baffles me is the use(or rather the ban) on the ****

This is football. A forum, adults too as far as I am aware but again stand to be corrected

Surely we should be able to use all vocabulary

If you got called an „odious cretin“ and were offended by that (understandably) then please use the „Report Post“ function and a Moderator will take a look.

Good natured joshing and piss-taking has long been a feature of LTLF; unwarranted abuse is not.

Unfortunately the volunteer Mods cannot read every post (I wish we could) so if you see a post that you deem offensive, illegal or just plain twattish, *Report It*.

Nobody will ever be criticised for reporting a post for the Moderators attention.

If you see something that you’re not happy with, Report it and we will take a look.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

    Ok mate

Not in my nature to report that stuff. I have about 4 or 5 other recent things I could report too but I won’t

    Thanks for the advice though

Its a football forum that gives some of us light relief away from the stresses of the real world. People on here can debate opposing views in a (generally) friendly environment and in my experience, the moderators stay out of things mostly. You get all sorts of characters on here, good and bad, but we are all united by our support for Forest. In my view people should be able to have a bit of banter without somebody taking offence. There's enough of that in the real world

    Well, you should.

The LTLF Moderation Team might well be as laid-back as a Carlos Santana guitar solo and as chilled as a Polar Bear‘s scrotum, bit we do not ever countenance or endorse abuse.

The „Report Post“ function is there for a reason.

    Use it.

I'll just re-emphasise what Strummer said about reporting posts.

If we get one we take a look and deal with it. For what it's worth I spent some time the other week deleting a whole load of posts because of petty name calling and insults, so we will do it if we deem it necessary, often though we need to have it bought to our attention because we aren't here 24 hours a day and don't read everything.

As for the ****, there are some words, or rather, combination of letters which are banned because they relate to spamming sites, if you are referring to my post and the word ****licker then to be honest it was self censored, partly for effect and partly because we do have younger people as members and the public can see things. You'll find I, like others, often use swear words elsewhere, just on this occasion I didn't, so apart from a few words you can say what you like. I do however feel sometimes as a general rule that if you are unable to make a point without swearing perhaps you shouldn't be making it?

    This leads to another query.

A man’s scrotum is generally a few degrees cooler than the core body temperature . Would the same apply to a polar bear or would his scrotum be a few degrees warmer?

'Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings' - Salvador Dali 1904-1989

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

I'm gonna say warmer but that is a pure guess

Happily cup a bloke’s balls (Lolley, Cohen et.) to check but not sure about a polar bear - might get messy

I guess it depends on the temperature of the glacier mint.
