The actions of some of the Corbyn supporters fall into different categories:
    1. There have been threats of physical violence which is a criminal offence.
    2. There has been the use of classical antisemitic tropes. Not necessarily illegal, but is it something that members of the Labour Party should be doing?
    3. There is the totally disproportionate criticism of Israel and of Zionism. Again not a criminal offence, but not something that Labour should be associated with if they want to present themselves as a party of fairness and equality.

As I say it is difficult to draw clear lines when dealing with verbal insults.

Calling Luciana Berger "A filthy Jewish pig and a traitor who serves a foreign power" isn't exactly pleasant or true. However if the poster was from the BNP and used the word Pakistani instead of Jewish, then watch the outrage explode from Corbyn and Momentum.

I'm pretty amazed in 2019 that there are people who still think that somebody being subjected to racial abuse should just 'man up abit'.

There are. But LJR, the person not the online character, probably isn't one of them.

Have a look at this new documentary video Francis. I note one Irish Hitler devotee is wearing a Scouse shirt.

Posted this elsewhere but here's UEFA's new considered position on racism in football:

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Personally, in the event of racist abuse, I‘d like to see the game stopped, the perpetrators identified quickly, and then invited to step onto the pitch, to be allowed to repeat their comments to the player(s) in question and their team mates, said players being allowed to arm themselves with suitable implements with which to reply; truncheons, nunchucks or baseball bats would be a good start.

Let’s see how „hard“ the racists are then.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Laudable sentiments but not really the solution.
Now, a refinement could be the racists are held securely at the ground until being released onto the pitch after the teams have completed the game, showered and had a bit of post-match snap.
Then the teams could re-enter the field of play and have a good old post-match kick about...

It's all these bleedin' foreign ManU plastics coming over here pinching our traditional racism.

Kick It Out says the number of reports of abuse it has received has increased for six years in a row."

    Leeds would’ve brought more racists.

Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea: PFA wants inquiry after alleged racism mars match - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50887592

The kick it out campaign is working well, then, thanks to the support of FIFA, UEFA and the FA.....

The common set of letters there - FA, which is exactly what they're doing about it....

    but, but, but.....

I thought the players would walk off, but they didn't.

It's pretty pointless making grand statements if you then don't follow them through.

It shouldn't even be being discussed in the 21st century, but if it did happen then to a man, everyone of the players should have walked regardless of the referee, bloody Sky and their TV audience, the fans in the ground or the spineless managers of the game.

By staying on the pitch all that has been achieved is that the dickheads will become more emboldened.

There a Uefa protocol in such cases which state after two warnings over the PA the game will be suspended by the ref.

There was three warnings so either the Premier league are ignoring the protocol (which they are entitled to do), or the ref decided it was all fine.

Default Players to Walk off if there is Racial Abuse

Gary Neville may not be everyone’s cup of tea (personally, I think he’s one of, if not the, best pundits on telly) has absolutely nailed the „racism in English football“ topic here.

And Sky Sports haven’t really come out of this well:

The problem is everyone knows what constitutes racism in their opinion, but the opinions on where to actually draw the legal line are vague.

There are professional comedians on Youtube telling jokes that would get an ordinary bloke arrested for telling the same joke.

It has been even more fudged by the trend to speak of Dogwhistle racism, Casual racism and Unconscious racism.

Just goes to show that their protocols don't work.

Personally, fuck protocols and hiding behind perceived systems.

If there is racism coming from the stands, then fucking walk.

Don't fuck about, waiting for tannoy announcements, or referees decisions, or Sky pundits interpretations, just walk, it's so fucking easy and everyone knows where they stand.

If we are really serious about tackling such an abhorent abuse of fellow citizens, then it is the only way to act and should be applauded by everyone affected, unless of course you're really a racist ****.

Until a club gets their players to walk off the pitch to give themselves an advantage- claiming there was racist abuse. The sort of thing Warnock would probably do

Neville is right about the English view that other countries have a problem we don't.

Even when it's undeniable shown to be a problem with British fans, the tribalism cuts straight in..."its them... Chelsea/Millwall/whoever...that club is racist...always has been. Doesn't happen here."

Difficult to have a unified stand against it, and some responsibility taken when everybody blames everybody else.

Nobody is going to defend, or suggest people to go easy on the Bulgarian fans, or the Spurs fan/fans here. But pull up that thread of the Forest fan at Kenilworth Road, and it's different. Plenty of "He's had too many, SJWs on twitter piling in again, etc...".

This is one of the unforeseen consequences I can see.

I'm not convinced that giving one or two spectators, out of a crowd of say 60k, the power to stop a game is a helpful intervention.
