This won't be easy , I watched them drag Bristol city all over the pitch the other night , Can't believe this team is bottom on that performance.

    Not really.

Most of the Eufa Cup entrants were teams that would qualify for the 'not many are Champions' League these days by finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the league. They were joined by the League Cup winners. The teams that now enter the Europa League would not have qualified for the Uefa Cup, except by default. For instance, if one of the teams in 2nd, 3rd or 4th place had also won a European trophy or domestic cup.

The Champions League is basically the European Cup and Eufa Cup combined.

I still think that winning the European cup was a bigger achievement than winning the Champions League.

Ipswich not only won the First Division title, but won it in their first ever season in the top flight under the guidance of the future World Cup winning manager Alf Ramsay.

They have a statues of Alf and Bobby Robson at Portman Road and, rather remarkably for football statues, they actually look like the men they portray.

I respect their past achievements, they were a good side and as Forest fans we know only too well how magical it was for a smaller club to consistently compete with some of the best.

    But anyway...

Back to the perennial fixture of the Championship (us and Ipswich seem to have been in this league since God was a lad), I think we'll have enough to overcome and get the victory.

It won't be easy, but is any game?

You Harvey or just the thread? Only judging by the wording of Flagman's recent posts I think he's about ready to take somebody out... and I don't mean a candlelit dinner.

As for game... an aggravating draw - seeing Flaggers straight on a train down to Clapham, his big shooter ready to pump some lead into the unsuspecting Harvey. 'Sky Plus' that in your pipe and smoke it!

That's because it is them. They had 'em stuffed. They do the same with prize cattle out there too. Odd lot.

We'll probably win this one just to prolong our own agony.

Have to say Alf, that photo on the right is possibly the worst Bane cosplay I’ve ever seen?

I'm off to find Alf on Facebook to see if he has any more photos of himself wearing those pants.

Yeah, his Cleo Rocos cosplay is the most disturbing one.

We need to be beating these teams if we have any aspirations of making the playoffs.

    2-1 Forest I reckon

I think Alf comes up on my suggested friends sometimes and it scares me.

Now is the time to put the Villa defeat behind us with a stonking away win.
However, Ipswich players know they are doomed, and are now playing without the fear that has dogged them all season.
They have put in a couple of better performances recently (1-1 at Ashton Gate mid-week) and could be a lot more difficult to turn over than many on here think.
Still, at this stage of the season I am going to predict a win in every game!

I'll be at the match tomorrow.

Also, if any Trickies are in Suffolk early then I'll be on BBC Radio Suffolk just after 11am doing my weekly film reviews. Might sneak in a cheeky "twice European cup winners" mention.
