    Default Season Cards

I’m looking at getting a season card for next year (haven’t previously had one). Does anyone know when the re-newal period will be (and the chance to buy one from scratch) for next season? I was expecting it to be imminent

Haven’t got a clue, but they were advertising them yesterday on the pitch side electronic boards, so with that in mind, a release of info must be fairly imminent...

(Oh and I’ve moved this to „Forest Banter“ because it’s more relevant).

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

They won’t release prices until we know what division we’ll be in

    I’m pretty sure they will.

Previous years they’ve offered the Early Bird incentives in March /April for the following season.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

Makes sense for them to sell them earlier- it means we’be got the money up front to spend in the transfer window.

End of the month is my guess, whether that's just renewals and not new purchases is anyone's guess.

If it is like last year existing season card holders get first dibs on renewing their existing seats.

    Next few weeks without doubt.

Any increase and I'm out. Sorry to say that, but I can't support changing managers midseason every season.

I think we've paid enough. 20 years of shit and still selling out against the likes of Wigan and Hull.

The fans should be rewarded for their loyalty.

I agree mate, given I'm in the bracket that paid through the nose this season, I'm looking for a reduction.

You can only enjoy what you enjoy, but man that makes me feel sad.

Hope I never go through the same, and I hope that you find the fun in it again.

You've changed career Baz, things change, football isn't everything.
I worked away from home for years, had a kid, bigger priorities, and I couldn't have told you Forests result most weeks. I didn't attend a game for over a decade.
It never leaves you though. You think it's over but it never is.
Forest are in your blood and you will return, eventually.

Edit: Without wanting to get depressing, my uncle died a few years ago but before he went he asked me to scatter some of his ashes behind the Trent End goal
He hadn't been to a game since the 70's!
Even so, it was a special place to him and a place he wanted to rest.
    It never leaves you.

My dad rang up and said they were announcing in a couple weeks.

Guess they want to know if they can put the price up.

This season's prices, and the reason we are seeing record sales and attendances:

    4-11 = £10
    12-17 = £50
    18-23 = £100

Even the Adult prices were good value for money, under £15/match in most areas. Can the club continue this pricing structure though? With FFP the club can't just rely on EM throwing wads of notes at the club, we have to generate decent revenue via ticket sales too.

Ticket sales account for £7.4m of the £23m revenue (around 32%).
When we get to the Prem the contribution from ticket sales becomes insignificant given the wads of money from the broadcasters.
The Club can accommodate holding or reducing prices.
After all, we will make probably £10m when we sell Worrall to Gers, and another £10m when we sell Lolley to Villa.
(N.B.: I may have my tongue in my cheek for some of this post!).

Agreed that if/when promoted then ticket revenue accounts for little %.

What about not going up though? How long can we keep the low prices going?

So long as the Academy keeps on producing players like Burke etc we can sell our way out of trouble!
Also, Olympiakos will buy our cast-offs at enhanced prices.
    Simples.

I thought (hoped) the idea was to lure the next generation of fans in and get them hooked. We’ve had 20 years of largely garbage. Much as you’d like fans to support their local side, if you were born this century we haven’t been on the football radar. There will now be parents who have only known disappointment from the club deciding whether to encourage their kids, and spend the money, to follow the same path. One season of prices isn’t enough to do that. I really hope they keep them unchanged.

We just need a bigger ground...

I imagine adult tickets will go up and concessions remain similar.

Even though it was 'sold out' this weekend there were loads of empty seats. People in my family have 2 kids tickets and they've probably gone to 8-10 games this year.

Yep, the flip side of these kids tickets is that it’s keeping out people who want to watch, and costing revenue.

Some sort of scheme where if you’re not using a kids ticket you tell the club 2 weeks before kick-off and it goes back to general sale. Don’t do that and don’t use it? 3 strikes and you can’t renew. It’s only fair and reasonable? It’s a great deal so don’t abuse it.

Increases opportunity for people getting frustrated at not being able to get in, or only finding a gap on the back row when some plum seats are sat empty. And the club get more revenue especially if adults buy them for the match.
