„The City Ground‘s capacity become the highest in the East Midlands“.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

    Exciting news.

'Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings' - Salvador Dali 1904-1989

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

    Also..

Now Derby will have absolutely nothing to brag about,

Higher capacity and we don't have to move to a soulless bowl.

Hopefully this means nights like Monday for years to come.

Hopefully the planning application is a formality.

    Looks right good, though.

Hope OP doesn’t mind, I have slightly tweaked the thread title.

On other matters, does anyone know a good plastic surgeon? I’ve had a massive grin etched on my face all week and it won’t go away, and I’m afraid I’m going to do some permanent damage?

This is huge. What an amazing opportunity.

It looks brilliant too. Wonder if it’s being built with the 2030 World Cup in mind?

Fantastic news I was hoping for something on this. Is it possible to turn an area of the ground into terracing temporarily to fit all of our season ticket holders in?

Looking at the pictures it appears the bridgford stand roof is to be levelled, some extra capacity gained there.

Impressive. Really pleased they're adding a museum as well.
It will look awesome when it's done.

Some of the images also seem to indicate that the rowing club buildings won’t be there.

Marinakis had words and they decided it’s for the best to relocate

I thought those grey images were the boat club buildings but you could be right as they appear to be part of new scheme.

Will the new ground have a decent coffee shop?

What’s more to the point....will you be able to get a pint of real ale rather than that piss-looking and tasting girly stuff they call lager? Good news on the ground plans. May prove to be too small. Eventually will need to fill in Trent End corners......

Suspect craft keg would be more likely, as it keeps for much longer without spoilage when properly refrigerated. The short shelf like of Cask ale usually makes it a poor fit for venues that are only used once or twice a week. Plus I doubt it would be kept in decent condition by the borderline retarded staff employed in catering.

Didn't know Wes and Barry worked in the catering department.
