No. If there were only five possible stadium names in the world, I'd think Forest had a pretty good one.

They should reproduce the old Trent end exactly as it was underneath a new overhanging massive upper tier seating area. That would be nice and noisy. Then build a massive wooden platform behind it on the river with loads of walk up bars and music, diving boards etc.

I壇 like Вig Evangelos to sanction the setup of a group of various eateries and beverage areas as part of the Ground refurbishment, and christen it Уhe Bakery just for the absolute top-trolling.

И believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism

I agree with you. Renaming / rebranding something is as good as saying nothing in the past matters anymore. Renaming it after something from it's past makes it sound like nothing that may happen in the future matters.

CITY GROUND - it staged the past and should stage the future, good or otherwise.

Screening planning app released, full planning app will follow soon I imagine.

    - Only the PT Stand will be expanded, total ground capacity of around 36,000
    - 250 apartments to be built in a couple of new buildings in the PT stand car park
    - Possibly only the boat house which is demolished, rather than the whole row

On that evidence is sounds like the Bridgford end won't be getting the 2 tier treatment all the way across it then. Still issues with right to light I wonder?

    Where have you seen this?

Ground will look a bit odd if the Bridgford stand still has the dip in it.

I think the Main Stand was always seen as phase one which I guess this application covers

Edit- if you look on the Rushcliffe .gov website, the application is there

    Info on Rushcliffe Planning site:

We would appear to own the oad right up to the Southbank bar if I interpret this plan properly?

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Can't see that flashy looking building that was between the PT and TE stands in the original renders. It looked great so hope it makes it.

I did wonder how they would make that work. Colwick Road runs right up to it. The last house pretty much touches the back of Z block. 2 tiers would end up being built up and over that house.

My assumption with the redeveloped version being in the original plans was that we had either purchased those houses or agreed some form of compensation. It's obviously still causing an issue if these plans have been revised or shelved completely.

I would have imagined doing the Bridgford end as part of phase 1 would have been more practical.

1). This could be completed during close season and potentially opened for the new season thus increasing capacity slightly whilst the major structure is completed.

2). The access to this end of the Bridgford is heavily restricted as it narrows significantly. Surely once the PT stand has been demolished it would be far more accessible from the A block area.

3). If the new PT stand is completed before the bridgford the access is significantly reduced further.

Whilst there could still be 'right to light' issues to be resolved (it only needs one affected property-owner to stand firm), it's possibly more likely the extent of the Bridgford End that would be affected in order to 'correct' the dip is likely to render most, if not all of the structure to be out of commission. The entire roof would probably need to be removed and replaced, also, tying new steel work into the remainder would be a time consuming process.
