Leroy Fer has just been released by Swansea, it's a shame he's picked up a few bad injuries in recent times because I think he's the type of midfielder we need, a big powerhouse to go alongside someone like Colback.

Giving the choice of having him or Geddy in the side, and I'd now take Fer even with the recent injury. Up until it occured he'd plenty of game time, and on a free he's a better option than Geds now IMO.

Guediouras not in Martins plans anyway. Yates is the player who Fer would displace assuming he can play the box to box role.

Colback & Fer with Carvalho & Lolley in front looks decent, but I think Martin will want two bona fide DMs. Fer then becomes expensive back up for Lolley or Carvalho.

    Fuck Anderlecht.

A Greek newspaper claims that we are interested in a loan for Manchester United's 19-year old winger Tahith Chong (he excelled in youth teams, four appearances in the first team). I would be surprised if they sent such a player to the Greek league, so once again I have to wonder whether they mixed the two EM's clubs. Managed by Stellar Football, incidentally, with whom you've had dealings in the past.

I hoped we might get something out of Keane being teammates with Solskjaer this summer.

If I remember rightly Keane has a lot of time for Ole... He and (I think) Rio Ferdinand were the only two who walked out of a meeting with Alex Ferguson, the coaching staff and the rest of the team because Keane hadn't been invited to the meeting and they didn't feel right talking about their captain without him being there. I'm recalling it from Keane's book but I think Keane eventually had to tell Ole to go and apologise to Alex Ferguson because he nearly ended up on the transfer list because of it.

As for Chong I've only seen him play a handful of minutes looks quick and direct. I wondered if United would keep him around though they seem to want to build on youth this summer.

Just out of interest, is this Chong lad a significant upgrade on Appiah?

Probably not, but they are managed by the same agent company.

Like I said, there's nothing to suggest that you are interested.

Keane stuck up for Ole on sky sports when Keane laid into Pogba and the players about letting him down. Definitely mates and that defence of him on TV might have helped swing a loan signing!

That's a bleak and uninspiring read! It feels like promising youngster 'on loan from Man Utd' has had it's day - few exceptions aside.

Potentially they prefer to keep players in Manchester rather than loan them out.

Article from November about their youth prospects: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.m...o-15427335.amp

Lee O’Connor interestingly was called up by MoNaRK to the ROI squad.

Chong is very highly rated and certainly at an age where he will want to make an impact in first team football now.
