We were linked with him for several weeks; in fact, the Argentinian and the Spanish press insisted that it was a matter of time before he signed for us, even after it was quite clear that we were not looking for another winger. Then the Spanish press said that he would stay at Las Palmas for the last year of his ocntract. The last few days they claim that he's going to the UK, most likely to Birmingham.

I wouldn't be surprised if his British destination is another Championship club.
I was right all along, apparently. According to the Spanish press we have already bought the player, who was actually meant for you, but he could not secure a permit in the UK due to an insufficient number of international appearances. Therefore we're stuck with him, to Karteo's delight and my dismay.

I am a fan of his playing style. I wanted him more than Bruno and I know that incidental things sometimes are those that make the difference.

For those baffled that you didn't get another striker, Lamouchi admitted that you tried, that he wanted one, but that the club ultimately failed.

We sack managers and coaches for perceived failings on the pitch with apparent frequency...

Is Marinakis as quick to part with backroom staff that can't deliver when required?

I hope Lamouchi gets cut some slack for this.
And it's refreshing to hear an honest answer, rather than saying they feel we have enough options in attack anyway.

And is he man enough to accept his role in employing them too?

It's really starting to feel like Montanier Part 2. Decent Bloke with a positive footballing philosophy let down by the recruitment.

Watch us twat leeds 7-2 again now.

Imo it's not, we had the base of a good squad last season and we've just added to it without losing anything of that importance.

I just expect the worse in all situations now when It comes to forest.

Can't be disappointed if you always expect the worst.

Cant argue with that tbf, and if we're good its only makes things better.
