If we win then great, if we lose then theres no shame & we can concentrate on the seasons main priority.

    Think we'll run em close.

Our ressies will get rinsed but I suppose at least we can concentrate on the league.

We've fucked up our chance of a cup run this season and at the time I was quite cross about it. However, since then we've turned into genuine promotion candidates so I don't give a shit about the FA Cup this year.

I'll go but I'll get so drunk I won't really care if we get tonked.

Would love a win so I can stick it to my Chelsea-supporting colleagues at work

We've had our cup run, we ended up getting embarrassed (again).

We run the chance of injuring our best players during a crucial time of the season.

I fully expect it to be half first team half reserves like we usually do for cup games.

Can't see us getting past next round but hopefully we'll keep it close.
It probably will be our strongest side but possibly Steele in for Pantilimon.

The only changes from our strongest side at the time he made for the Newcastle game were Bridcutt in for Colback (who couldn't play anyway) and Steele in for Pantilimon.

I have no problem with no changes for the odd game.

We have already lost Byram & Soudani from pointless Cup games, if we were playing another Championship side or League One/Two side I would have more of an issue with no changes.

Just wondering if the appearance of the foam hand brigade at Chelsea will reduce the away following at Millwall the week before due to 2 trips to the capital in a week?

Only became pointless when we went out. If Grabban had started Burton wouldn't have pointless, it would probably would have been the win that took Forest further than they had gone in any knockout comp for 22 years. The pointless was starting Soudani, lacking match fitness, in the first place.

If (IF) we play our strongest team, we could give them a decent game.
A pity we are not in the same division as them, then it wouldn't all come down to injuring players or losing all our confidence or credibility with a nasty defeat.
I would mind seeing us have a go.

How do they get match fitness then?

We lost 2 first team players for the entire season in Cup games. I would have happily gone out against Bury if you told me that at the start.

And if Dawson & Hefele didn't forget to play football we would have gone through, nothing to do with our striker.

No from 1-2 cup games a year, that's for sure.

If that's what we're relying on, we're screwed.

I was hoping for a good tie, instead we're likely to get dicked at Soulless Stamford Bridge.

Undecided whether or not to go to this one. Went to the league cup dicking and found it demoralising and despite over 4000 away fans the atmosphere was a bit crud. My lad in his 20’s loved it though and wants to go again. Maybe it’s me getting old but I prefer Brentford away.

Coupled with the fact I am off to Millwall and Reading either side of this and always want to see our best side. Saying that, watch it be another Arsenal.

Wolves beat them - they have shown a few weaknesses recently and will probably put out a strong cup team as they have already lost the premiership chase

Guess the only thing they need to decide now is which match to move between Chelsea and Fulham?

I’m salivating at the prospect of Man U versus Reading.

I don’t believe they’ve picked that one. Main match is the tantalising Wolves reserves v Liverpool reserves of 2 clubs that are barely interested at this stage and play each other at least twice more this season. The magic of the cup.

Edited to add, you are correct. I see they are keeping within the rules and showing Man United.
