I think AK will want to really use this game as a marker to show how far we've come since the last fatal game against when he wielded the axw and brought 10 players in immediately after.

It could also start to cement our place in the play off places prior to January and be the game where AK can genuinely go back to EM and say he needs X amount of funds to strengthen further in order to be genuine contenders for promotion in May.

I agree. A decent return against Preston, Derby, QPR, Norwich and Millwall will put us in a firm position come January. Win against Leeds on NYD and we start to tighten our grip on the league.

Our 5 games after the Leeds game on NYD is exclusively against teams bottom half of the table.

I don't think people realize how tough the run we have had the past few months has been, and the one coming up too - which makes our form over the last 15 games even more impressive. Apart from the odd one or two they have almost all been teams that are either on good form or top half.

I hope not, as Iíd like to be able to get a ticket on the odd occasion Iím in the U.K., I would not want to miss the Presentation of the Championship trophy this season?

Someone will correct me Iím sure, but I think the most we can do is 29.600-ish, due to segregation between the Away Fans?

I believe so. All of the 'sell out' games of recent years have been around 29.5k.

Where we are at the moment on and off the pitch, the capacity is absolutely perfect. Matches are pretty much selling out a few days before the match date. Not well in advance and not many empty seats.

Should the unthinkable happen then I'd expect us to be able to fill 35K, maybe more for big matches. The City Ground thread would soon come back alive with talk of PT Stand redevelopement.

3-0 Forest, I’m in the US and will be travelling up to Detroit when the games on so I fully expect to arrive and find us a little closer to the automatic places. COYR!

Where presumably every sports bar will be showing the game live from the WFCG

Sell outs do make parking on Lady Bay a bit more vexing.
Still, whats a little extra on the walk when we get the WFCG rocking!

If only it were so, I’m in Spartanburg this week and a guy here has a Man Utd badge on his desk, so I got talking to him about football; he had heard of Forest but literally knew nothing about us. Anyway suffice to say he has now been educated.

They only hear about the premier league and only then its very low key.

First went to Detroit in 1967. We had to move hotels (to the Sheraton-Cadillac) as they started a riot near our original hotel. As we wandered into the hotel the Detroit Pistons basketball team came in. Quite odd seeing a whole line of chaps about 7 foot tall coming past.

There’s a lot of work going on at the moment to renovate (some might say gentrify) Detroit, so its improving but still no way I would go into the city without someone who knew where they were going.

Earlier in the year I got the chance to go and see the Pistons At ‘Little Caesers Arena’ I hate basketball and only went because there was a group of us, anyway it turned out to be their homecoming game, apparently it was the first time they had played there for forty years, they had Eminem and Kid Rock there and made a bit of a show of it... the basketball was still shit though.

Yeah, the Pistons have led a nomadic existence, playing at the Silverdome out in Pontiac (which is now sadly in complete disrepair) and then the Palace at Auburn Hills, which is, you might be surprised to hear, in the suburb of Auburn Hills.

The Little Caesars Arena (itís a pizza chain) is in downtown Detroit, near Coamerica Park (Detroit Tigers, Baseball) and Ford Field (Detroit Lions, Football). They share the Arena with the Detroit Red Wing hockey team (they used to play at the Joe Lewis Arena beside the River, but thatís closed and will be demolished next year).

That bit of Detroit is alright (it has as you say been subject to significant investment and gentrification). The midtown/downtown area is properly up and coming now, compared to even five years ago, itís a whole lot safer.

I know I'm a part-time fan, tourist, plastic, casual or whatever other tag could be placed on me...but when you don't get to games very often, it makes the ones you do all that more exctiting. Just hope it's not an anti-climax like my first game last season when we were awful against Bolton and Dowell, who had been in hot form coming into the game completely vanished.

Preston seem to score plenty but struggle to defend leads. 6-5 to the reds.
