Fancy going to this. A cup game stood on the terrace under the floodlights, with a chance in the 1/4 final up for grabs...

Agree with you. Many back then I wouldnít want in the trenches with me.

With the current team Iíd want most there with me. Loads of character. And you can see theyíre all in it together.

Itís been a while since I have said that about a Forest team.

They will probably want payback for Forest rolling over at Bolton in May and relegating them.

Also, I not sure Burton have been to the last eight of a national competition. Some incentive there.

I know many of you don't care about the cup, but I'm sure the club will not want to miss an opportunity to be in the quarter finals of the EFL cup (and to be the only club below the Premier in it). It's good for the image of the club, it's good for the confidence of the players, it's good for business.

A better tie than getting Blackpool, Bournemouth, Palace or Boro. At least this has some Cup Excitement about it because of Nigel and being a local game.

I agree there have been lower lows but the stakes were so high in the sheff Utd game with the draw opening up nicely. Some of the real lows I just became apathetic!!

We as fans have always cared about the league cup... its the clubs, the Football league and the FA that have allowed it to become what it is.

It started by the entering of European teams later in the tournament, then dropping the two legs... they did try to do away with qualifying for Europe by winning it at one point... now its no extra time and straight to pens. All done to appease the big boys.

It would be great to win it but sooner or later we will get blown away by a bigger team.... the Burton game is imo a harder game for us than say city or chelsea because there are no expectations there if we played them... but Burton will be up for it, Clough will ensure it and Forest have history of being mentally weak to the point where these games derail the season.

Did you ever cheer Pearce on when he clattered someone....
