Was brilliant at Ipswich, physically an absolute monster.

His injury issues would be a concern though.

It's a tricky one. Definitely hesitant when it comes to players who have had lengthy spells injured, but if he is over his injuries and can stay fit he'd be one of the best left backs in the league and a player with the potential to play in the top flight. At least if he does come he won't be our only option at left back with Robinson here.

15 games in 3 seasons, according to someone else on here. That's a bit like hiring someone, but then they spend 90% of their time off sick.

Sounds like a huge risk if a large amount of dolla is involved, regardless of how good he can be when fully fit.

That said, if he is fit and can play LB or CB it could be a good move, for the right price.

If Howe is willing to loan him with a purchase clause if we get promoted, then it'll be a good deal. Paying now for damaged goods is not a good deal.

as the new hierarchy seems to be making some kind of amends with the Doughty past, I did wonder if this was a Mark Arthur pick ;/

I should ask Aitor for some commission for recommending the two full backs were supposedly after.

Mings would be an absolutely brilliant signing and we'll worth the risk. He was on his way to the very top before those injuries, and may well have been playing in this world cup.

He's the best full back I've seen at this level for about two decades, since our own number 3 was here.

Double announcement with Byram and I will give Randall a reach around.

Whether this transfer is worth the risk depends on the cost really. A reasonable fee or a season long loan with an option to buy and I'd say he's worth a punt. If he's going to be expensive then I'd be a bit more concerned.

If he does come here and stays fit, he would be an outstanding signing. Him and Byram would be the strongest we have been at full back for many, many years.

He would have been perfect in our old midfield.

Has to be at a sensible price simply due to said injuries. No doubting his quality though

If Hutchinson can turn it around like he did at Wendies, no reason this kid can't.

Must admit skeptical about a back injury though.

Ones your back goes it rarely recovers properly.
