He became a major part of the discussion when it came to whether we overrate our academy players.

Think Benny has flaws that will hinder him in pursuit of top level football, notably physicality & pace, but he's excellent technically & his engine is infinite.

We aint good enough to consider losing the player yet although the versatility angle becomes less crucial as all positions get filled with quality. He'll likely improve without the crap players dragging him out of position & he's also a key part of the dressing room.

    Doubt he'd be going anywhere.

Whenever I read the 'ins' and 'outs' on this transfer forum, I'm torn between hoping we get the very best or don't lose our very best, but, in all honesty, I haven't got a clue.

EM has the money and AK the knowhow, so I just hope their combined efforts workout. I'm a simple lad.

Only because he’s read it on here.

Capped all the way up to under 21 level, was once Liverpool's youngest ever debutant at 16, played over 100 games in the Championship by the age of 24, once told Luis Suarez to fuck off after Suarez had a go at him for shooting.

All good achievements. Could be a very good free if he's over his knee problem.

My brain tells me avoid injury prone players at all costs, especially at left back.

Well as it looks like he is coming, let's hope he can stay fit. I'm sure he's an upgrade on Fox/Osborn/Traore at left back (granted, that's a pretty low bar), just a question of how many games he'll play.

How many years have we been basically playing without a proper left back? They are either damaged when we sign em, get damaged once signed, or just plain shit

Nottingham Forest agree deal for former QPR defender Jack Robinson with player set to sign two-year deal. #nffc #QPR https://t.co/lMgz9n4X5B

2 years is a good length, not too much commitment but enough to tie him down.

Interestingly according to transfermarkt he played CB last season?

I've read a few QPR fans say he's better as the left CB of a 3 man than he is as a fullback, either way he gives us another option for the 3-4-3 or 4-2-3-1, Karanka said he wanted flexibility.

2 year deal for a 24 yo screams backup or “we missed out on better targets”.

He seems decent enough whenever I’ve seen him. If he stays fit he should be an ok signing. Even though he played centre-half a lot last year, I think he’ll play left-back here. I’d stil like to see another LB come in though. Fabio would be great as he can play both sides.
